... Climate change isnt just about the planet. Its about justice: racial, social, socioeconomic, reproductive, and environmental. Its about immigration reform, LGBTQIA+ rights, and religious freedom. I know this interconnectedness, and fervently believed in it when I wrote my initial essay submission last year.
However, in this moment, I find myself unable to think of climate change on its own. When Trumps policy is climate destruction, it doesnt take place in silos.
If anything has changed in my mind since last year, it is that my connection to so many struggles for social justice are even more strongly at the forefront.
And yetto know that your work is inextricably linked to other fights for equality, and then to see the flood of battles headed our way: How on Earth do we keep from drowning?
We must build resilience, physical as well as social, and spiritual.
When I think about resilience, I think, as always, about the young people on the front lines of climate change. I think about my friends, my generation, those who refuse to accept the present for what it is, but see the future for what it could be. I think about the Sunrise movement, a response by young people to Trump and climate change. This group is talented, determined, and resilient, developing a new strategy to mobilize communities into political action on climate.
I would be lying if I said that I am very hopeful these days; after all, there are many reasons to choose to despair. However, when I hear about howas we young climate organizers knewyoung generations are rising up to Donald Trump, to the deafness of politicians, and to the climate crisis, I decide to be hopeful.

Fruit. Cake.
Yeah, it is about money, power, control and using the emotional argument of “we are all going to DIE!!!” to get young, impressionable people to blindly follow.
JoMa
She reminds us all of why they call people “watermelons” who spout Global Warmist propaganda. Green on the outside, red on the inside.
More proof (if any was needed) that the climate change crap is 99% politics and 1% science.
” Climate change isnt just about the planet. Its about justice: racial, social, socioeconomic, reproductive, and environmental. Its about immigration reform, LGBTQIA+ rights, and religious freedom. “
Welcome to leftist ‘intersectionality’. In short, it means you must believe everything they say and if you disagree with anything, you’re an evil Drumpf-loving Hitler Nazi.
Its a great relief to have an Administration that doesnt take this sort of deranged babbling seriously.
The other one you see constantly uttered by postmodernists is “intersectionality”.
Dear Leehi,
Learn a trade.
Sad to see such obsession with complete crap.
LGBTQIA? This group continues to exclude necrophiliacs. Why are they necrophiliaphobes?
“February changes justice and evil may do profit to unborn planets. The seeds of interbrededness forcefully smile great happy bon-bons into bloom. And all will be well in the garden.”
Makes about as much sense as this gobbledygook-sniffer from Canada makes. Some poor taxpayer somewhere got ripped off when this confused young woman matriculated at some intellectual-$&!+&@\e college north of the border.
“Leehi Yona completed a two-year Diplôme détudes collégiales in Integrated Arts and Sciences”
She’s basically a homely high school sophomore girl whose mush inside her head has been shaped by environazis and SJW at the local madrasses, and who wants to impart her deep delusional wisdom on the world.
We need to ban all immigration from Canada. They keep exporting their ignorant waste of DNA like this person to the USA.
Gee, what on EARTH is THAT kind of major? Hmmm...let me guess...
“LGBTQIA? This group continues to exclude necrophiliacs. Why are they necrophiliaphobes?”
It’s LGBTQIA+. You missed the plus. So she’s got you covered.
People like Ms. Yona surely represent the bottom of the barrel. It’s impossible to get any lower.
Trying to bolster a failing “climate change” initiative by conjuring the moral outrage that brainlessly characterizes the entire shopping list of Marxist-Leninist, sorry...”liberal” causes, are we? Hell, the Occupy movement has abandoned its war on Wall St., effortlessly switching tack to become another shrill panicky voice for (yawn) global warming, after having had its range of attention nutted and dispersed by that same litany of pagan Druid tribal incantations, so why not stiffen their dongers with a little “coalition building”?
