Charlie Savage is a clever guy. The New York Times reporter managed to get a full-fledged editorial into the news section of his paper when the controversial Nunes memo was released on Friday. He did it through a journalistic device that is likely to be more widely used in the future as standards of objectivity and fairness continue to wither: an annotated version of the original document.
Savage clearly isnt shocked. But he shouldnt be, at least not outwardlynot in his reporting on the document. His job is to be dispassionate. On the other hand, neither should he reveal his own stark bias through deft selections on what precisely he wishes to annotate and how he wishes to do so.

A simpler commentary is that what passes for the Press today is nothing but a cabal of Leftist Praetorian Guards, whose sole purpose is to defend Democrats.
Nice edit.
Dead things often serve as fertilizer for new growth. In this case conservative media is bennifiting from the legacy media malpractice. Good riddance!

When was the last time you read an article like that? You probably haven't. The real journalists have all moved off to write novels and biographies. Those who are left are all working to see if they to can get a Pulitzer for pulling down the next Republican president.
I can’t watch the news anymore. Even Fox News.
The author is giving Savage far more credit than is due. Savage has clearly demonstrated from his article that he is nothing but a partisan hack shilling for the Democrats. He is certainly not worth reading, especially from such a discredited Swamp 'news'paper. The NYT is demonstrably void of real news. It's time that responsible reporters ignore its storied past, and recognize that.
I haven’t been able to stomach watching the news, any news, for several years, maybe 4 by now. I read news, so that I don’t throw a brick at my tv. I only seem to use the idiot box for watching reruns from old shows or movies, usually nothing current.
