If Antonio was a great kid (hopefully he is) with excellent upbringing and character, why didn’t Nan’s grandson say something like, “I hope I will always be as honest...or caring...or determined...as Antonio.” Instead, the racist Nan talks about the most superficial of all traits: skin color.
