Jordan’s King Sees a Possible ‘Lack of Understanding of Islam’ in Washington

Islam is “not a religion of hate,” Jordan’s King Abdullah said in a recent interview, arguing that there was perhaps a “lack of understanding” of the religion in Washington.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Abdullah — in an interview filmed in Davos last month but aired on Sunday — about President Trump’s stated view during the 2016 election campaign that “I think Islam hates us.”

“By ‘us,’ I think he meant America,” Zakaria said. “In your conversations with President Trump, have you tried to persuade him that that was not the case?”

“Absolutely, to all Americans,” Abdullah replied. “And whether I’m in Washington, in the Congress, or with the administration, I think maybe there’s a lack of understanding of Islam.”

Abdullah said his religion is built on “moral virtues” that are seen in other faiths including Christianity and Judaism.

“It is not a religion of hate,” he said. “We, as Muslims, believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah. We believe in the holy virgin mother. We believe in the Bible and the Torah. And I think this is the way that all of us were brought up.” …

Thanks Olog-hai. He claims descent from the Big Old Mo himself. His interviewer is another anti-American Jew-hating a-hole.

I think the west in general, and America in particular, is developing a very accurate perspective of these slave-driving, muderering, vicious intolerant bastards, their moon-god, and their twisted, idiotic religion of hate.

Well, there are several Bible verses that indicate those who aren’t worshiping the true God are actually worshiping devils, or the head honcho of same.

Surah 3:45 does say this:
And when the angels said: O Mary! Allah gives you the glad tidings of a command from Him: his name shall be Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary. He shall be highly honored in this world and in the Next, and shall be one of those near stationed to Allah.
Now the Koran never says that Jesus is the Son of God, but has Jesus even denying that.

Years ago I knew a young Muslim from Jordan whose family knew the king. He shared with me his view of being Muslim. He claimed that the parts of the Koran that were threatening were like our Old Testament, but he and other Muslims that he knew went by the kind part of the Koran, like Christians follow the New Testament. He was serious.

The only problem with his view and possibly the king of Jordan’s view of the Koran is that a large part of Muslims do not see it this way. Not only are we in their cross hairs, but all other Muslims that do not follow their treacherous beliefs are also targets. They will kill them as well as us.

There is no part of the Old Testament (or, as Jesus called it, the Law and the Prophets) that is anything like the Koran’s Medina verses, or vice versa. And frankly, no part of the entire Bible is anything like the Koran, whether the verses are of Mecca or Medina.

Mohammed (600+ A.D.) borrowed what was already taught to Christians. Then he paid lip service to, and modified, those beliefs he chose to help bring in some on-the-margins mostly ignorant Arabs who had heard of those Christian ideas.

He used the word Messiah as a name to the ignorant, and absent its meaning.

If Washington understood Islam, Mecca would be a radioactive crater in 15 minutes.

Well, what it seems Mahomet borrowed from was a lot of Gnostic heresy rather than anything in the canonical New Testament. Notions of Jesus speaking in the cradle, and also not really being crucified, came from such sources and landed right in the Koran. These are things that Christians rejected.

Actually in practice & theology I see more Judaism in Islam then Christianity. Their Islamic schools and scholarship styles are very similar to rabbinical Judaism. But its obviously a pale cheap copy. Remember in their foundation story Mohamed. Presented himself to these northern Judaism practicing Arabic tribes as a prophet in the old style tradition. They laughed at him, he latter had them wiped out and enslaved.

I think Muslims deep down know they have “copy” and a bad one at that of Judaism. That explains their hatred and paranoia about all things Jewish.

There’s really no Judaism in there either. A lot of Babylonian mysticism, though.

Judaism’s religious law is based on the Ten Commandments. There is no such thing in the Koran. Nor does Judaism claim things such as Abraham being told to sacrifice Ishmael on Mount Moriah, or that Abraham traveled to what is now Arabia to help Ishmael set up an idol that came down from the sky (the Ka’abah), the notion of doing such a thing being abhorrent and abominable to Judaism but part of much pagan worship.

I agree, its really the form and practice where I see the similarites. The Koran is clearly a mish mash of Christian, Gnostic Christian And Gnostic Judaism literature.

There is a German historian who says the Koran is a misapplication through translating Syrian Christian liturgical literature in Syrian script (later adopted by the Arabs so thy could have a written language!)into Arabic then editing in other material. He says that if you take the Koran and read it in 6th century Syrian many of the grammatical & word usage problem go away.

The first part of the koran is suppose to be much “nicer” than the last part. The last part is suppose to supersede the first part, but apparently there are “nicer” muslims that go by the first part. I read it, before I knew better, maybe 40 or so years ago, and do not remember too much about it. I am just going by what my young muslim friend told me. I think he believed what he told me, though.

Satan isn’t an originator. He is a robber. He steals truth and mixes it with his awful, but natural to him, lies. He is a fake and his products are fake. Nothing attracts like the truth. That is why he is compelled to use it, if only in part.
