It is not those agencies but rather rogue officials with a plan. In 88 years of life, a combat veteran who has worked for the US government and in the private sector I have never suspicioned such was possible - never. However, if this story is correct and it seems to be well researched, we are dealing with a group of well positioned, well funded conspirators. Clearly their goal is the overthrow of the Government of the United States of America.

Sadly, elpadre, you may well be correct and your views are shared by most of us on FR.
But we all are just SOME of MILLIONS in the USA who refuse to accept this condition any longer and we VOW to FIGHT to get our country BACK on the right track.

In open testimony given before the House Trey Gowdy asked Page if he had been interviewed by the FBI in 2016. Page made note only of his appearing in a court case involving some Russian subject. He did not, of course, admit that in a part of the year 2016 he was serving as an FBI informant. Gowdy did not press the point, and continued on...
You should see the swamp from a front row seat - I live here. This conspiracy really started under Clinton with the politicization of the bureaucracy [Podesta, Vicious Sid, Algore and all that crowd]. It accelerated under Bush/Cheney [remeber the guys who used gazillions of your money to buy of everyone to get agreement to go and invade Iraq] and then reached its apogee under Obama [but Bush Cheney supplied the rocket fuel that got the DC inflationary period really going].
We have to have a conspiracy. Else we are going to have to figure out how to do useful things for a living because no one out there will willingly pay even more to grow our regulation and bureaucracy.
They miscalculated because they thought that since everything was so good for themselves it obviously was good for folks everywhere, except a few of you deplorables off in your baskets of despair. Obviously folks were so disconted by their own deteriorating prospects caused by the leach that the Potomac had grown to be on the rest of society that everything the deep state threw at it could not overcome the disaffection.
And now that folks can see it all for what it really is the democratic party and leftist progressive state are in their dying throws [lurching wildly like a dying beast - dangerous until the final death blow is struck].

The memo-vs-memo is an interesting gambit. With the way all of this is playing out, the media cannot avoid reporting - which means that the “unwashed masses” are seeing real information for a change, perhaps for the first time.
Politicians have a terrible habit of underestimating voters - provided voters have real information.
The other wildcard in play is that the average joe really hates dishonest, skulky back-room deals that screw them over. This is the ultimate back-room deal, designed to screw everyone over. If the FBI is allowed to get away with all of this, then nobody is safe - even if you and your kids are absolute saints, the FBI can create a charge from whole cloth and absolutely put you away for a very long time.
Even rank-and-file democrat voters understand the fear that statement generates.
The democrats are contriving at their own destruction, trying to lie their way out of a hole their lies dug in the first place.

Sessions is there to protect the club. He does that very well.
