Stylistic differences. Reagan was more of a strategist. Trump is probably a better tactician.
What that means is that Ronald Reagan was a better planner, and had his lines prepared for when he needed to use them. While Trump can think "one his feet" better than Reagan, and could make up humorous comments up immediately, and has demonstrated that ability.
i especially liked his one word description of his enemies, such as "Low Energy Jeb", "Lying Ted Cruz", "Crooked Hillary", etc.
For all of his abilities, Reagan would have never thought that kind of thing up on the fly. He'd have thought about it for a while and used it at the right time.
i do agree that Reagan was a funny guy when he wanted to be.
The one time that Reagan did think fast was during one of the debates against Carter, when he made the comment "I paid for this microphone!". That probably won the election for him.
However all things considered, i think that Trump is better at improvisation.
This is classic media horseshiTe....badmouth a gop guy (who deserves it) and make it the headline.
This happened in my district in Tennessee about 2002 or so. The Rep candidate missed the filing deadline because he was deployed in Iraq. A write in candidate failed miserably. we had no choice in the general election but to vote for the blue dog dem John Tanner. Sometimes things happen
This district (3rd) formerly the 5th has a conservative democrat (Lipinski) running for re election and because he is conservative the perverts want to dump him. Past history shows that the Illinois GOP along with the RCEC has never funded any candidate running here partially because he has supported conservative causes including being anti abortion .
This election the Illinois governors race Republicans will be focused on their primary and there is a strong possibility of Lipinski losing his seat. Because dems figure most conservatives in that district will come out for Ives who is running a strong race against Governor Rauner wont be able to come out for Lipinski.
Since it’s well past the filing date (Dec 4th) and those issues were not apparant. What should have happened didn’t .
But what might but probably wont Is that Jones petitions should be gone over with a fine tooth comb and challenged Not sure if the time allotted to do this is available) but other methods to remove him from the primary ballot fail... Then put up a write in candidate. who may lose in the general but wont give the perverts an issue to run around with for November.
