However, Sundays Super Bowl LII also saw a decline of 5% in metered market results from the last time NBC had the big game back on February 1, 2015 when the Patriots faced off against then champs the Seattle Seahawks. Overall, last nights game peaked in the high stakes fourth quarter with 52.2/74.
All in all, Super Bowl LII is currently the lowest rated since Super Bowl XLIV in 2010 when the New Orleans Saints thrashed the Indianapolis Colts on CBS.
Even before those results were in of last nights game, another voice was added to the chorus of praise to the finally victorious Eagles. While Donald Trump passed on the traditional Presidential sit down with the Super Bowl broadcasting network on Sunday, the Tom Brady pal did take to social media for a few words after all the hoopla had left the field at Minneapolis U.S. Bank Stadium:

Well, they missed a good one.
tvbythenumbers says early ratings showed a 3% decline. That did not include streaming, etc.

Watched 3 minutes of it in the 4th quarter.
Millionaire marxists can go f**k themselves.
VICTORY!!!
Gee, just imagine if it had been the typical bust
Great game or not, principles matter. And I chose not to participate.
I guess that makes me part of The 5%
I’m sure the nfl will come up with a logical explanation for the decline. Surely it had nothing to do with rich athletes hating on the country (and it’s people) that made them who they are financially. /s/
A key “rating” so to speak, will come this spring, as season ticket renewals get sent out by the teams.
Remember the kneeling crap started well after the season began, long after season tickets for 2017 were paid for.
The ticket renewals and sales, will be a good indicator if critical masses of fans are still turned off by the NFL.
High scoring doesn’t necessarily mean good.
Life long Eagles fan here and yes, I did boycott football until I saw how outspoke many of the Eagles players were about their faith-—Foles, Wentz, Pederson, Ertz, etc... That was the main reason I went back to watching in early December. Believe I hate the whole “social justice” NFL bs, but there’s more to it at least in Philly...
Media was trying to get us to watch by telling us that no Eagles kneeled for the anthem this season.
No, but 3 of those idiots gave the Black Power salute.
That’s worse than kneeling.
ESPN will say it’s because of “streamers”. I watched Storage Wars reruns and Doctor Who on Amazon. We miss Barry Weiss more than Barry Obama.
Colon Krapperdick started the 'kneeling crap' in 2016.
Yes, I know Colin started it in 2016, but that movement hit critical mass in 2017, that’s what I was referring to.
High scoring doesnt necessarily mean good.
Amen. If one likes a game where the premise is that one usually scores when one has the ball, and the odd times that one doesn’t are what determines things, then watch basketball.
High scoring doesnt necessarily mean good.
.............................
You are correct.
It was a great game.
Yup, personalities matter. Barry had in spades. Mary has it. The rest you can tell are trying to hard.
Graveyard Carz on Velocity is my fav. Has personality with Mark Woman and does what no other car show does, informs and educates with how-tos.
