After all is said and done with this, and I wholeheartedly believe that NOT ONE PERSON will be held accountable for anything that may arise from any of it, I’d still like someone to say what it is, they think Donald Trump did wrong.
The Special Counsel/Independent Counsel law, is used when someone is believed to have committed a crime and it is believed that an investigation by the DoJ or FBI would/could be biased. Am I wrong about that, in some way? If not, what crime is alleged to have occurred by Donald J Trump, at any point during the campaign? Did he violate finance laws? Did he have people at polling places, going into voting booths and force them to cast votes?
Mueller was given the go-ahead to start a witch hunt with no crime, having occurred or alleged, other than DNC and Podesta emails being leaked by Assange. And, none of that was a crime, committed by Assange as he was provided those emails. Because, if I’m not mistaken, Assange/Wikileaks isn’t in the business of hacking, per se, they just publish information about govt abuses and programs used against the people.
Not recently, perhaps.
However, Assange definitely has a history of hacking.
When Assange was in his late teens and early twenties, he hacked into several USA government networks, and also into several USA corporate networks. Then, Assange bragged about it on at least one hacker website.
It's my understanding that is why Assange is still in the Ecuador Embassy in London, long after Sweden (?) dropped the rape charge.
The USA has never publicly filed formal charges against Assange, but it is lawfully possible for the USA to ask the UK to detain and eventually hand over Assange to American authorities.
There is no known or suspected crime with respect to Trump. This is a witch hunt in search of a something - anything they can use to take down a duly elected President. Treason and Sedition plain and simple.
