Why? As I wrote in another thread, this is like being in a war, and having your gun pointed at an enemy soldier who could, at any moment, pull out a grenade, disarm you, set off a bomb - whatever . . . and you stand there wondering whether to shoot.
Why the President / Republicans are shuffling their feet on this is beyond me. All it does is give our enemies a chance to cover their tracks, plant disinformation and, if we’re really unlucky, stop the release of the memo somehow.

Agreed.
Even though there are reports the alterations are not at all material but simply correct typos or ambiguities, a Monday release seems more attractive for the R's from a procedural standpoint.
