A Democratic congresswoman was caught playing what appeared to be the popular smart phone game Candy Crush during President Trumps State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence (D- Mich) could be seen tapping away at digital jelly beans and gumdrops while Trump delivered his message of unity to the nation.
Some fellow members of Congress were seen reading Twitter and emails just beside her.

I would be more impressed it if was chess or at least suduko
Wonder if the phone was tax payer funded.
Just part of the gubmint workforce pseudo-economy, maintaining the illusion of assimilation. Is there anything in the private sector?
My wife was watching a Kevin Costner movie about some Mexican kids running track (McFarland USA); while it was supposed to be an uplifting story about how these sons of agricultural braceros went on to college, the ending was horrible - most ended up coming back to work gubmint jobs (mostly in the schools). Complete faux economy, funded by American taxpayers.
Postal service and human resources, that pretty much says it all. Govt teat all the way, baby.
Playing Candy Crush is probably the pinnacle of her intellectual pursuits.
Are people incapable of staying off their phones for a few minutes?
Do you honestly believe she understood any of the words used by Trump that were more than 2 syllables? I don’t...why would I?
Face it that is all her intellect is capable of.
Naaa... Democrats give the RNC campaign fodder all the time, but The Stupid Party never uses it.
WiFi is not necessary. She doubtless has a cell data plan with her wireless carrier.
That doesn't mean a Capital WiFi wasn't on -- it could have been. But I wouldn't use it, even with WPA2 and a tough password. Too easy to hack. And besides, they'd probably have a lame password, and it would be written somewhere easy to find and read.
Why would personal devices be a problem? In any case, a lot of people would refuse to leave their devices at the door.
That doesnt look like Candy Crush
Well, no one expected chess.
You win, hands down!
