House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is being shunned by members of her own party for downplaying the benefits of tax reform. Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-NY) informed Pelosi that $1,000 bonuses were not "chump change."
Crowley wondered whether those employers had already planned to dole out bonuses, despite the tax reform package. But, it's quite the coincidence when dozens of other companies have suddenly invested massively in their workforces after the vote. Boeing, AT&T, Darden Restaurant Group, Apple, and Starbucks to name a few.
Yet, Pelosi continues to be a broken record. The employee bonuses are "crumbs" compared to the rewards large corporations and the 1 percent are getting, she said (again) Thursday.
Pelosi Doubles Down on "Crumbs" Comment
"I say crumbs, they mock me in ads for saying that," she said at TrumpTax Town Hall event in Massachusetts. "Compared to the banquet they give at the high end."
Speaking of Massachusetts, Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. and HarborOne Bank announced they’d be giving out employee bonuses, and Eversource Energy said it will lower cost for customers.
Guess why.
Pelosi's speech was not only given in an awkward location, but an awkward time, considering the following news from Hostess.

When is a Republican going to stand up and tell this stupid bitch that the top 10% of income earners pay 72% of all of the taxes collected. At the same time, they need to tell her that the 1% is responsible for almost all of the employment in the US. And finally, tell her that the $1000 “chump change” is a welcome relief to those of us out here who are struggling to make ends meet, while you give away our money to get yourself reelected. Cell phones for deadbeats...really? That’s the best you got? You’re a disgrace.

I’m getting an additional 240 crumbs a month in my take home pay. That should buy me about 100 loaves of bread.
She’s confusing this with crumbs stuck under her dentures that she is awkwardly trying to move around.
But Pelosi is so old she can't change her tune.
She is killing the Democrat Party.
They need to wake up and move toward the center...perhaps even a little center right (just to the left of the President).
But it won't happen...because they are not that smart.
Can't wait for Bug-Eye Booker to run for president. Or perhaps Big Squaw Warren or Quick-Smile Kamala Harris.

“Let them eat cake”, says the so called representative of the people of California who like many of her fellow representatives somehow became quite wealthy on a government salery. I am sure the rick self appointed queen of communism does think 1 to 3 thousand dollars is crumbs, after all her shoes probably cost her much more. I recall as a young couple trying to make with two small children I would have loved to have such a sum of money. Heck, even today I would be very happy to get an extra thousand bucks. I believe most Americans feel the same and I hope Trump continues to highlight her statement that is so out of touch with reality.
Openings are being generated here big enough to drive trucks through.

Nancy Pelosi thinks the $1000 or so these tax cuts actually put in your pocket are pitiful compared to the $2500 the ACA was going to save you. The difference is that you have the $1000 in your wallet and you never got the $2500 healthcare savings. In fact most people who actually pay for town healthcare have seen their costs nearly triple in the last 8 years, with much higher deductibles and co-pays.
“So Nancy, I seem to recall that you’re wealthy, so you and your husband must have benefitted from the recent tax legislation. What do you plan to do with YOUR windfall?”
Crumbs.... I figured there are about 900,000 in our metropolitan area. If 25% of them somehow get an extra $50 per month through tax savings or wage increases, That is $11,250,000 per month of additional cash that can be spent in this area. Or $135,000,000 per year. Surely that has some kind of trickle down effect, which should lead to more jobs, etc. Even if the numbers are less than 25% and less than $50/month, it can still have quite an impact on a community.
