Chris Matthews has taken Trump-hatred to a new level. On his MSNBC show this evening, Matthews analogized Trump to someone . . . who was charged with murder.
Said Matthews:
Remember George Zimmerman, the stand-your-ground guy from Florida, who pulled a gun and killed somebody, in self-defense he said cause he had the right to fight anybody who approached him? And I get, thats what the president here is doing.

It seems to me that that could be useful in,at least, determining a person's state of mind.If I was in Zimmerman's situation I,too, would be very happy to hear that the incident was on tape.Ditto if I was accused of a crime and had irrefutable proof that I was 500 miles away when it happened (perhaps I was in prison on that day).
OTOH,if I knew I was guilty of a crime I'd be very disappointed indeed if I learned that everything was on tape.
It was a narrative that Chris was looking for a place to insert. Did not work.
Excellent observation.
These people are psychos.
Zimmerman is one-eighth black but the media was eager to frame the narrative as a white man killing an innocent black teenager.
Okay, so I just checked and found out that Elizabeth Warren claims to be 1/32 Native American, which means that George Zimmerman has more black blood than Liz has Native American blood, yet she's deemed by the libs to be Native American, but George Zimmerman is called a White Hispanic. What a joke.
Certainly not since Franken resigned and left...
Over and over and over again I've had to fight back against uninformed fools, often agenda driven,
that perpetuate the lie that SYG was relevant to the GZ/TM encounter or to the verdict the jurors reached.
What Matthews is saying here is a damnable lie and he is a damnable liar.
The jury found GZ not guilty based solely on self-defense.
SYG refers to having no duty to retreat.
Hard to retreat when you're being straddled and held on the ground by your attacker
while he rains blows down on you "MMA style"
Obviously, simple self defense
+1
Thanks for the important information. I understand the frustration with statements like Matthews’.
