I hope this is true that the FBI altered the memo. Trump will then release both the altered and the unaltered and we can then know exactly what the FBI was most afraid of. I approve.

If for example, the House memo quoted a secret agent in a hostile country, I can understand the FBI objecting and wanting the individual’s name redacted. However, this sounds like the FBI is concerned about its reputation and credibility with other intelligence and law enforcement agencies. If they lied to the courts about FISA warrants, so be it, even if that means individuals may be named in civil lawsuits by those spied upon.
If an FBI redacted version is released, the Deep State will have taken a major threat to themselves and turned it into a weapon that will embarrass and weaken Trump. The details of the conspiracy to use the security agencies of the Federal Government to surveil and destroy its political opponents must be revealed publicly. If not, then the US becomes a Potempkin Village fraud with domestic security agencies controlling any threat. Trump would become caged and eliminated as any real threat.
I think you have to have a record as a Mike Nifong type of Federal Prosecutor, spend time in the depths of the DoJ as an opaque fixer, gain attention for your service to the 'Rats and get appointed to a high level position in the FBI and start taking payoffs from the Clintoons..

The President is the ultimate Classification Authority. If there is something that is/should be classified, he can order redactions.

A memo is a product of the originating office.
Now maybe Trump might get the message what is going around here. If he slips up now, he might be finished. Most of have been saying for a long time he is too busy with foreign stuff and ignoring what was going around.
I trust John Kelly about as far as I could throw him! He seems to go off the reservation repeatedly, which doesn’t show well for the President. Trump still hasn’t found a loyal COS!
