They don’t want the border secured, most of the illegal drugs...yes even opioids at this point are coming across this border. They know that, don’t want anything done about that. Many of the addicts are using RX drugs but at some point they run out of that option and have to go for drugs illegally smuggled in.
If the southern border were sealed, there is still one more land border and two sea borders. Human trafficking will doubtless severely dwindle. What happens from sea to shining sea is a different matter.
