The stats don't lie.
Within minutes of President Donald Trump's first State of the Union speech, CBS News revealed their YouGov poll approval ratings on it.
Unsurprisingly, 97% of Republican speech watchers liked it.
More surprisingly, 72% of Independents liked it.
Staggeringly, 43% of Democrats liked it.
Overall, CBS reported that 75% of Americans approved of the speech.
For such a seriously divisive and polarising President, who is currently languishing with just 39% personal approval ratings, these were sensationally good results.
Interestingly, 8/10 Americans in the poll felt the President was trying to unite the country with his speech and two thirds of Americans said it made them feel proud.
Less than a quarter that watched said it made them feel scared or angry.
Contrast this reaction with the instant and so tediously predictable blind rage spewed by the world's liberal celebrities on social media before, during and after the address.
From my own unofficial poll i.e. my own eyes on Twitter I'd say 99% of them were so furious at the speech they could barely think straight.
'I was told darkness could not exist in the light,' tweeted Sarah Silverman. 'But here it is, for everyone to not see.'
Jim Carrey tweeted an illustration of sharks across a map of America, then another of a weeping Abraham Lincoln and the caption: 'It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.'

I think the moment that pissed me off the most is when Trump was stating his plans to address the opioid crisis and many of the Dems just sat on their hands. Pathetic. If anything should allow bridging of the partisan divide, it should be that.
I had to look to see who the author was ..... Piers Morgan - surprised me because the overall tone is quite positive.
And yet, you are still here...
Piers is a sissy boy when it comes to guns but he genuinely likes the President and defends him in the press. They became friends during Celebrity Apprentice.
I have a hunch that Trump’s job approval rating is going to get a bump. Stay tuned.
Fake news is really just another form of fake entertainment. Singers have auto-correcting software for their out-of-tune singing voices and I’ll bet movie actors have their ways of faking authenticity too. Fake celebrities?...You don’t have to love ‘em!
So, we had to endure over a year of being on defensive. Yet, even during that time, Trump was able to get the tax bill passed, and even better, kill Hussein-care with repeal of the mandate.
But now, Trump is on the offensive. The deep state revealed its assets & exposed its methods. Trump recovered, learned and is now using the exact same tactics to high effect.
The economy is just getting started. That whoosh of capital investment you hear is repatriated earnings fleeing high regulation, politically unstable regions back to the USA. The net-net is rocket launch growth that is still only on the pad.
So, muh Russia & deep state coup defeated, and now the economy taking off. If someone who honestly looks at these core facts still has a smidgen of pessimism left, then they may have Eeyore ailments that should be looked into.
His articles vary from one end to the other. It feels as though he has some fundamental philosophical disagreements with Trump, but is convinceable on others. And I think they probably really are friends.
The approval rating polls are skewed like the last election polls
The Rats are probably making big money on the drug epidemic . . . which would mean Trump is playing with their pocketbooks.
The Left hates all things traditionally American. Trump is quintessentially an American leader to his very core. That's why they hate him and us Deplorables. Make no mistake that they would send us to extermination camps if they could.
How about when they wouldnt acknowledge parents who had children killed by illegals?
Ill bet movie actors have their ways of faking authenticity too
It is called retakes and editing.
Wham! Game, set and match.
The President’s job approval numbers are the product of the same pollsters who guaranteed Hillary would win the election. So don’t expect much.
Celebrities live in their own world.
“I have a hunch that Trumps job approval rating is going to get a bump. Stay tuned.”.............
My guess is you won’t read about it in the “news”.
Ditto that
Dims and deep state in disarray.
