I agree with your take, and I would add in the judges Trump is appointing. If he gets even one more SCOTUS pick this first term, he may sway the court for decades longer. If he gets two, we’ll be safe for longer than that.
Rulings today will be used for settled arguments for the next 50 to 100 years. Future SCOTUS courts will refuse to take up many cases due to rulings that will come from the Trump court.
My one thing I actually give McConnell credit for, it facilitating the SCOTUS, Appeals Court, and District Court judges Trump is appointing and getting through the Senate.
Of course that ignores the fact that this is McConnell’s job, and he shouldn’t get special credit for it, as such.
Trump has already touched so many things for the better.
