The Senate confirmed another one of President Trump’s Circuit Court nominees on Tuesday over “blue slip” protests from Democrats, who said the nominee never should have been given a hearing, let alone a vote.
Minnesota Supreme Court Justice David Stras was confirmed to the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals by a 56 to 42 vote, becoming Mr. Trump’s 13th Circuit Court pick to clear the Senate.
But Democrats said Justice Stras was only placed on the federal bench after Republicans disregarded the “blue slip” tradition, which allows home state senators to sign off on judges from their home states.

It seemed to be the one area that most people agreed he was our one hope. He certainly has not disappointed. Leaving the actual selection to the conservative think tanks and not just rewarding friends and friends of friends.

Gotta give Kudos to Harry Reid. He blew up the Senate rules and payback is appointments by Trump and a mentally unstable Pelosi. The liberals/socialists are literalluy losing their minds. Please dump judge Derrick Watson from the Hawaii Federal District Court circuit . He has filed numerous frivolous orders and is a disgrace to the USA

He and Pelosi thought they had the majority wrapped up for many years to come, for them it was a costly mistake.
At first glance, it appears that all the Senate RINOs plus 5 Democrats voted for this nomination.
And before him, 0bama stuffed the Federal Bench with barking mad leftist ideologues. Elections have consequences.
Maybe they will ostracize/alienate the Dems who voted for him....
Presidents have the authority to nominate federal judges, but not to "dump" them. Federal judges are appointed for life, and can only be removed after impeachment by a majority of the House and subsequent conviction by two-thirds of the Senate. Absent any clear evidence of crime or misconduct, Judge Watson is not going anywhere.
