“Get rid of the Senate filibuster.”

That’s the fault of a Senate rule and not of the Constitution.

People like this need to be made example of, they know not the seriousness of what they propose.
Examples would demonstrate that seriousness.
I am serious.

I would like to see the liberals version of a constitution. It should be a riot.

"One of the biggest problems with the Constitution as written is it makes changing anything nearly impossible. Other countries regularly ditch or overhaul their constitutions to deal with new problems — and even America has done so in the distant past."

I would like the author to cite some success stories of "ditching or overhailing". Like Venezuela which has had 26? And how many peaceful transitions of power?

And the distant past comment-that was the Articles of Confederation. He does realize the nature of that organization was very different, doesn't he? How old is this guy again?

The Constitution is working as intended, placing limits on the power of government.

“Article 58 and all.”

If you listen to some of the global warming alarmists, they see nothing better than using something like Article 58 to incarcerate, or better yet execute, those of us who know AGW to be a fraud.

Out here in Cal-ee-four-ny-aa there is a fascist clown in the legislature who wants to impose a 6 month jail sentence to waiters who give out plastic straws. It is not a big step from sentiments like that to some of the provisions of Article 58.

They want it, of course, as long as it only applies to conservatives and their other political enemies.

“...Perhaps there is a way to get rid of the liberals....”

Yep. Let’s toss them in the garbage instead.

And cause plenty of riots. Perhaps the UN charter would be more to this guy’s liking.

Liberals are closet tyrants. They love abject tyranny because the god of this world is their only one.

If there was a Constitutional Convention, they would not like the outcome - in fact, there would be buses parked outside the Convention hall to exile take the Leftists to an awaiting chartered flight out of the country...

“One major engine of political extremism in America is the partisan drawing of district boundaries.”

The major problem is the leftist demands for ever more.

Some party has to fight for those who produce - The Republican Party.

That the Republican Party represents a minority is not the fault of the Constitution but of worthless Republicans and vote hungry Democrats in DC.

“Elect the president from the House.”

The President signs bills and executes laws passed by Congress.

The President only needs better bills to sign, which is not the fault of the Constitution but of grandstanding politicians in Congress unwilling to work hard.

I got my art project kicked out of the second grade art and Science Fair.

The old bat nun teacher wanted me to dray the apply perfectly symmetrical. I told her that the apples my mom bought were small at the bottom and large at the top. I redrew it three times till she gave up in exasperation. There was an 8 1/2 x 11 open space on the wall where all the pictures of apples were taped up.

I was branded a troublemaker, this making me eligible to re-write the Constitution too.

For the record, my mom was proud of me for standing up for my rights.

The Constitution limits the power of the government. They want unlimited power.

They did just that on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009 with the full cooperation of the GOP.

I’d actually be interested in looking over a completely liberal created new Constitution. Just to see how restrictive and authoritarian it would be. (I’m guessing 1st Amendment would be limited, 2nd amendment would be absent.)

It would really expose what their end goals are.
