President Donald J. Trump returned to Twitter today in typical fashion after a quick trip overseas for the World Economic Forum. President Trump jumped right back into the debate over the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA), accusing Democrats of not actually wanting to solve the problem.
I have offered DACA a wonderful deal, including a doubling in the number of recipients & a twelve year pathway to citizenship, for two reasons: (1) Because the Republicans want to fix a long time terrible problem. (2) To show that Democrats do not want to solve DACA, only use it! Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 28, 2018
Last September, President Trump rescinded former President Obamas executive order which shielded more than 800,000 illegal immigrants from deportation because they were brought into the country as children. In an effort to curb executive overreach and shift responsibility back in the hands of the legislative branch, Trump gave Congress a six month ultimatum to fix the DACA issue. If the Senate and the House cannot come up with an agreement that Trump can sign, he will deal with the issue himself. That deadline is quickly approaching in March.
In another tweet, President Trump also claimed tat Democrats are not interested in "Border Safety & Security" but only in "obstruction."
Democrats are not interested in Border Safety & Security or in the funding and rebuilding of our Military. They are only interested in Obstruction! Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 28, 2018
It is unclear what deal will be reached between the two sides, but Washington Times columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Hurt echoed similar sentiments to the White House today, saying that the current plans before Congress are by far the "most centrist immigration" plan in more than 30 years.

People seem to have forgotten When the Fn Judge swooped in and ruled the dreamers cant be forced to leave that side railed all the negotiations until that punk is over ruled the Rats dont have to agree to anything
OK, but I'm confused about something -- why did you post that in response to my post #8 this thread? I was posting a link about the political fallout for Dems, from the Black Panthers...
I'd take the deal...I think we could demonstrate conservatism is good in the 10-15 years before citizenship.
Won't happen though....DJT was baiting them.
Great typo. Don't change a thing.
Everyone else is playing checkers. The president is playing 4D chess!
LOL, the Art of the Deal. Squirm Schumer, squirm!
Tucker Carlsons guest on the 26th, Julissa Arce, said The President rescinded DACA. Great news! If only she was right.
Segment starts at 4:32 and the false claim that DACA has been rescinded is at 5:10.
I think DJT is wrong here.Full and immediate amnesty for all 30 million wetbacks,no change to chain migration,no wall of any kind and a 99% cut in ICE and CBP funding would be acceptable to the Rats.
The ball is in Congress’s court. The President has done his part. Now just back away Mr. President - not another word.
One thing for sure, Trump has the democrats number...
The MSM thinks Trump is a moron...yet he runs rings around them in spades...
Trump made the offer knowing full well it would be rejected. He gave the democrats a pistol knowing they would shoot themselves.
why would they want to solve it? They have the illegal and hispanic vote already and want to parlay that to getting control of the House in 2018 where they will impeach Trump
If the Democrats were apt to work hard, that’s exactly what they would have gotten in 2009/2010 when they had huge majorities.
Looking back, we dodged a bullet.
If we can trade a secure border, robust deportation force, end chain migration for a million or 2 amnestied, that is a good trade overall.
President Trump really made this obvious. DACAs have to be thinking: wait, what? He offered us citizenship and the democrats said no?
The dims get tons of campaign contributions and likely more cash under the table from big businesses that hire illegals for keeping the border open and enforcement of immigration laws at a minimum. It is not in the interest of the money men for the illegals to become legal- then there is no benefit to hiring them.
The dims have been pandering to illegals for years in exchange for votes, promising them things they could not deliver, and being able to blame that on those nasty Republicans.
So now they have painted themselves in a corner, they have been depending on things with immigration to keep rocking along the same. It will be interesting to see what the dims do now, hard to keep both sides happy with a deal on the table.
If nothing else this should prove to the illegals that the dims do not care about them even a tiny bit.
Yes I think it should be a case by case basis, we don’t want to end up with criminals and deadbeats...Hope that is part of it. Though if they are allowed to apply for citizenship- if they mess up after that they lose the chance and are subject to deportation.
It’s not just for DACA, the Democrats never really want a solution for the problem. To them, the ISSUE is always much more important than the resolution to the problem. They are way more concerned with kicking the can down the road than ever picking up the can and disposing of it properly. And have you noticed, when they do “solve” a problem (say like health care), their strange contraption is always in need of “short-term” fixes?
Eventually you run out of road.
Great news.. another Chuck n Nancy deal. American kids last again... winn8ng!
and if the Dems don't except the deal they've been offered...that's exactly where Trump is gonna send them!!
more damn winning!!
The President has done his part. Now just back away Mr. President <<<
Yup....Just follow the existing law and ramp up deportations...
