NEW YORK Conspiracy theories flew around Saturday morning after the Twitter account of conservative TV host Sean Hannity was briefly compromised, according to a Twitter spokesperson, and unavailable for a few hours.
After the Fox News stars verified account posted a message that simply and cryptically said Form Submission 1649, visitors to Hannitys page said they were getting a Sorry, that page doesnt exist error message. By the time Hannitys account was back up later in the morning, speculation was rampant about the mysterious disappearance.
Fox News referred questions to Twitter.
While we normally do not discuss individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons, we have permission from the account owner to confirm that account was briefly compromised, a Twitter spokesperson said in an email. They did not realize any further information.

It’s the same nutty activism we’ve come up against many times:
Trump’s Twitter account was also banished on the last day of a departing Twitter contractor.
Hawaiian missile warning.
Baseball field shooting:
Same old, same old.
“Conservatives are evil, all methods are justified, we are a LEADERLESS ARMY...!”
THAT is what we’re up against.
Compromised by whom and for what reason??
In a weird way, this actually HELPS us.
Every time it happens it underscores the need for a similar, new platform that our (sort of) side OWNS, like Gab, or whatever.
I gotta hand it to them; I sure would not want THEM on my platform.
In fact, that’s why I love FR.
realize???
Had seen yesterday on twitter that supposedly some Turkish group had hacked Hannity’s twitter account..but it would not surprise me to learn that it was twitter themselves who shut Hannity down because to liberals, truth is their kryptonite
Some SJW twitter employee. This is my guess.
Who is it that edits for this paper?
Possibly an autocorrect for “release”. That seems reasonable.
“Had seen yesterday on twitter that supposedly some Turkish group had hacked Hannitys twitter account..but it would not surprise me to learn that it was twitter themselves who shut Hannity down because to liberals, truth is their kryptonite”
If someone could hack twitter, why stop at hannity’s account?
It’s the SJWs at twitter playing their games again.
How do we know that Twitter isn’t a Turkish Group?
My theory
Sean had a good show last night ... talked about what’s going to be revealed this coming week. So someone from Twitter decided to go in the back door of his account and snoop around.
After breaking and entering his twitter house undetected.... they accidentally turned the lights out upon leaving.
Hannity has recently mentioned on his radio show that his twitter account has been (briefly) hacked several times, and that attempts to hack it are frequent and ongoing. I don’t know if there’s anything conspiratorial about it, other than him being a large target for kiddie and SJW hackers due to his conservatism.
But, now that he’s back, it IS up to him to explain “Form Submission 1649, and I’d prefer he do that soon rather than obnoxiously repeating “tick tock” for the next several weeks.
Some say Obama and Hillary's Deep State CIA/FBI/NSA operators to send a warning message to Hannity that he's getting too close to divulging the truth about their coup attempt.
Hannity “1234” or the name of your first born as a password doesn’t work.
That tweet is probably from the hacker trying to compromise it.
someone mentioned the fake Hawaiian missile warning.
what about the fake tsunami warning, with FakeNewsMSM mocking the President for not tweeting about it? even when they admit it was fake, they try to blame social media:
25 Jan: AnchorageDailyNews: The case of the phantom tsunami: Why an Alaska buoy showed a big wave that wasnt there
by Zaz Hollander
Tuesday’s massive earthquake beneath the Gulf of Alaska, and much of coastal Alaska’s tense wait for a tsunami, created more than one internet sensation...
But to the average coastal resident getting increasingly desperate for information early Tuesday, it wasn’t hard to imagine a 35-foot wave looming in the North Pacific.
And so buoy 46410 and all that moving water got shared in text messages, phone calls and on social media...
Some in the news media picked up on the “wave” too...
David Hale, National Weather Service Boston urged the public to wait a few minutes after a big quake if the buoys are close to the epicenter to let the seafloor settle.
And be careful about sharing information.
“In social media, there’s a propensity to repeat things as fact because it is out there,” Hale said.

23 Jan: HuffPo: Donald Trump Tweets About ‘Fake News’ As Alaskans Flee Tsunami Warning
‘Just more of this BS.’
By Chris York
As residents of Alaska were woken in the early hours of this morning by a tsunami warning, on the other side of the country, President Trump was tweeting about fake news.
Americans along the West Coast were told to get up and head inland to higher ground after a magnitude 7.9 earthquake struck 160 miles southeast of Chiniak.
Just under two hours after the warning was issued, the President was apparently watching TV and deciding CNN isnt actually fake news - so long as it is praising him...
At the time of writing and three hours after the tsunami warning was issued, Trump has yet to tweet about it or release a statement...
Videos posted to social media appeared to show people evacuating the area and warnings from officials.
This is a tsunami warning. This is not a drill. Please get out to higher ground, said the announcer on local public radio station KMXT. If you are on the flats, get up on one of the hills ... Just go high....

of course, if the President had tweeted about the “fake” tsumani being reported by the FakeNewsMSM, they’d now be mocking him for falling for a hoax or whatever.
Monday is a big day. Tick tock, tick tock.
