An interesting look at the battle to release Mr. Nunes memo and the deep state fighting back.

Lots of hot links in the original article so worth the time to go to Townhall.com to get the fuller story.

Enjoy

The Deep State must be destroyed, or our freedoms will be destroyed. There is no middle ground.

If the Democrats controlled Congress and possessed a “memo” that conclusively indicted a Republican Administration of such crimes, it would have been published in its entirety by the New York Times almost immediately.

“Why certainly, Mr. Capone, we’ll happily let you review the evidence against you and let you tell us what we can use. Thanks so much, sir.”

I heard once that anything a senator reads or says while on the senate floor automatically declassifies the info without any punishment towards the senator.

If true, I would just read it out loud.

There have got to be thousands of texts and emails between Come ,Lynch, these two agents, Clapper, Brennan, Boyd, McCabe; and who knows how many others.

"...memo could be released next week"

That's what they said last week. And the week before.

Reminds me of the sign over the bar: Free Beer Tomorrow!

Only House reps are cleared to view the memo.

I recall the sunshine pumpers insisting all would become clear after the IG released his report on January 15th. Now the spin is wait until March. No thanks. I can see when I am being played.

“According to Grassley, the FBI is blocking the release of the unclassified sections of the Senate memo by falsely claiming that they contain classified information”

Let that sink in folks.

We have a 4 trillion dollar corrupt stasi state controlled by rabid lefties. It is supported & defended by rabid lefties in the fakestream media.

Our side has what? (Given: We have President Trump)

We also have a compromised AG & mealy-mouthed ‘republican’ scumbag politicians in congress. Most of whom voted for Hillary and can’t wait until Trump is gone.

If our side doesn’t start engaging in this fight, it’s all over but the screaming and the dying.

you’re missing the fight between House Republicans, the FBI, and the Department of Justice over this FISA memo.

Sleepy Sessions asleep at the wheel again? You don’t say.

Apologies, i thought the article stated that releasing the Senate ‘version’ is tied up bc the DOJ would have to approve release? Hence, my comment.

The House has a totally different memo.

The Hatch act: the nation’s premiere law enforcement agency ignored it.
Hatch Act
Enacted in 1939, the Hatch Act (5 U.S.C.A. 7324) curbs the political activities of employees in federal, state, and local governments. The law’s goal is to enforce political neutrality among civil servants: the act prohibits them from holding public office, influencing elections, participating in or managing political campaigns, and exerting Undue Influence on government hiring. Penalties for violations range from warnings to dismissal.
The law’s restrictions have always been controversial. Critics have long argued that the act violates the First Amendment freedoms of government employees. The U.S. Supreme Court has disagreed, twice upholding the law’s constitutionality. Congress has amended the Hatch Act several times since 1939. In 1993, a number of amendments to the act sought to limit the effects of political patronage in federal hiring.

Having lived through “Watergate” when the left was screaming to the heavens and the MSM was out for blood, because, the blood happened to be Nixon's a Republican, I recall when the “greater population” finally engaged in what was happening.

Today, I think what is going on is so complicated that even those of us who are trying to keep engaged cannot possibly fit all the moving parts together.

I think that there is an effort underway to “prep the battlefield” with a simple to understand message that the great unwashed can understand and react too. Perhaps that is this touted four-page memo.

I believe a great injustice has been done to our democracy (going back years) and accelerating to the farce about Russia 24/7. Fixing this will be painful and drawn out business that will require the “masses” to be behind the effort.

As always, just my 2€
