SCOTTeVEST CEO and Co-founder Scott Jordan really stepped in it when he insulted a large swath of his customers last week.
The controversy started when Jordan shared on Facebook how he reacts when people tell him they recognize his face from Fox News, which frequently plays his commercials.
“I laugh to myself, and tell them that we primarily advertise on Fox because we find their viewership to be extremely gullible and much easier to sell than other networks," he wrote in part. “I get to tell them they are f***ing idiots while getting rich off them.”
Trying to tamp down on the outcry, the company issued the following statement distancing itself from Jordan's offensive remarks.
The recent offensive and inexcusable social media post by Scott Jordan does not reflect the views of SCOTTeVEST. In 2017, Mr. Jordan stepped down from the management of SCOTTeVEST and he is not involved in our daily operations.
We are extremely sorry for his unacceptable comments. Mr. Jordan’s post was impulsive and inappropriate for too many reasons to list, and rightfully offended so many people.
We strongly disagree with the views expressed by Mr. Jordan.
Jordan himself apologized in a letter posted on Medium.
"To those that I called gullible and idiotic, I am truly sorry," he said.
While Jordan stepped down as a manager last year, he retains his title of CEO. SCOTTeVEST spokesman Luke Lappala said that's nothing to worry about, as his duties have significantly reduced.
“Mr. Jordan retains his CEO and Co-Founder titles, but he is not involved in our daily operations," Lappala told The Blaze.
People who call you stupid are offensive. People who call you stupid while lighting their own hair on fire are funny as hell.
Never of him or his company...but I’ll not buy his products.
I looked up their product and it appears to be a redesigned fishing vest, say 39.95 sold for 175.00. One has 21 pockets for your electronics.
Over priced garbage.
Estimated numbers: 2.8 million in revenues
163 employees. Not a good profile for a 15 year old company.
Inevitably another company will manufacture a similar
product which I will endeavor to purchase so Scott
won’t have deal with this idiot and his money.
The ads and the eponymous name of the product are both incredibly corny and laughable. If he thinks he was doing viewers a favor, he’s delusional.
Hopefully he has driven his crappy company into the ground.
In contrast, the My Pillow ads are corny, but at least that guy is a true conservative and Trump supporter.
Biting the hand that feeds them. Not a good plan. Unless you want to lose your job.
How STUPID and VILE the LEFTISTS are!!
I have a tough time believing this... “”To those that I called gullible and idiotic, I am truly sorry,” he said.”
I rather imagine his extemporaneous remark was closer to his core belief, and this ‘apology’ rings hollow, a weak attempt to recover from the damage done to the business.
One of the worst characteristics of the left is their inability and unwillingness to stand firm for their convictions. The soft quicksand of moral relativism and situational ethics is no place to build an intellectual or philosophical fortress.
he’s terribly sorry he got caught, is all.
It's called social media for a reason...
The product is an stupid idea.
I carry a money clip, a phone, my keys...that's all I need on my person...
Plus, the my pillow product is awesome! Got one last year and havent woken up with neck pain since. Even my hubby, who is a total pillow snob, loves his.
You assume they know the difference.
Bullsh!t...fire that son of a b!tich!!!
And yet the glaring fact this moron overlooks is the “f...ng idiots” watching FoxNews are the one’s who actually work.
And, IIRC, about half the idiots watching FNC are Dems.
WTG, Jordan.

Subject: Question about Men’s 101 Vest
Good Day,
I was wondering if your Men’s 101 Vest has enough space for your daily personal belongings? I’m thinking you guys may need to hang on to some of them to distribute to the employees you’ll be laying off when your market-share completely tanks. I *had* been considering buying one of these (overpriced) items, however, this ‘gullible’ information-junkie has better things to use my Federal Reserve notes on.
All the Best,
Dan
First time I saw his “vest” commercial, I thought of Captain Kangaroo and his carrot-stuffed coat pockets.
