To do so is to ignore the rest of Scripture.
I don’t take false doctrines personally nor do I try to ‘fix’ those whom I believe are ‘tainted.’ I just go about my life, side-stepping what is false and holding dear to what is True.I guess we'll not be seeing you renamed Timothy or Titus any time in the near future.
1 Timothy 1:3-4
3. As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer
4. nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work--which is by faith.
