But visions do not convey new dogma, what is, new doctrines needed for salvation.

So the Book that Rome assembled; so long ago; IS sufficient to get a person saved.

Sorry Mary...

You're wasting your time.

1 Cor 4:3-4
I care very little if I am judged
by you or by any human court;
indeed, I do not even judge myself.
My conscience is clear,
but that does not make me innocent.
It is the Lord who judges me.
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time;
wait until the Lord comes.

"One indeed is the universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved, in which the priest himself is the sacrifice, Jesus Christ, whose body and blood are truly contained in the sacrament of the altar under the species of bread and wine; the bread (changed) into His body by the divine power of transubstantiation, and the wine into the blood, so that to accomplish the mystery of unity we ourselves receive from His (nature) what He Himself received from ours."

--Pope Innocent III and Lateran Council IV (A.D. 1215)

I know which one I am going to rely upon!

True believers WILL go through judgement.

Did you read this in some old book?

It goes along with what St. Catherine of Siena said, "All the way to Heaven is Heaven, because Christ said, 'I am the Way.'" and Mom has a list.

A list of those who were naughty and nice to her.

And I'm gonna be checkin' it: Twice.

Really would be helpful if you would label which verses are from what book.

Well; there WERE four blue groups of verses and then 4 four red references at the bottom.

Perhaps you have your background set to RED. ;^)

Yes, I read it in some old Book. The same one you read. The Bema seat of Christ. 😀

All them references are fine; but, it appears to me that John summed it all up quite accurately when he wrote...

Revelation 20:11-15
"Then I saw a great White Throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and THE BOOKS WERE OPENED. Another book was opened WHICH IS THE BOOK OF LIFE. The dead were judged according to their works as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to their works.  Then death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written IN THE BOOK OF LIFE, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

I don’t believe the two judgments are related. That one is for the lost. The bema seat is for rewards. Your buddy MHG has a little better handle on the bema seat than I do.

I saw that one too. Glenn Campbell and his daughter were pretty good at it also.

I do not recall the Messiah or His disciples following those customs. I do recall the Pharisees and Sadducees often trying to intimidate or coerce the Messiah and His disciples into obeying them.

Perhaps because they didn't discuss it.

That a person would continue to post Scripture in this manner, in a way not recognized in the Western free world, is indicative of that person's character.

From my devotions this morning - seems worthy of posting here...

The believer in Christ receives a present justification. Faith does not produce this fruit by-and-by, but now.

So far as justification is the result of faith, it is given to the soul in the moment when it closes with Christ, and accepts Him as its all in all.

Are they who stand before the throne of God justified now?—so are we, as truly and as clearly justified as they who walk in white and sing melodious praises to celestial harps.

The thief upon the cross was justified the moment that he turned the eye of faith to Jesus; and Paul, the aged, after years of service, was not more justified than was the thief with no service at all.

We are to-day accepted in the Beloved, to-day absolved from sin, to-day acquitted at the bar of God. Oh! soul-transporting thought!

There are some clusters of Eshcol’s vine which we shall not be able to gather till we enter heaven; but this is a bough which runneth over the wall. This is not as the corn of the land, which we can never eat till we cross the Jordan; but this is part of the manna in the wilderness, a portion of our daily nutriment with which God supplies us in our journeying to and fro.

We are now—even now pardoned; even now are our sins put away; even now we stand in the sight of God accepted, as though we had never been guilty. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”

There is not a sin in the Book of God, even now, against one of His people. Who dareth to lay anything to their charge? There is neither speck, nor spot, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing remaining upon any one believer in the matter of justification in the sight of the Judge of all the earth. Let present privilege awaken us to present duty, and now, while life lasts, let us spend and be spent for our sweet Lord Jesus.

......

Thanks be to God for His Indescribable Gift. It is greater than even believers understand. In comparison, all else falls short.

Bro, we who are picked up into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (as different from when He touches down at the end of the great tribulation; see 1 Thess 4:13-17 and 1 Cor 15:51-53) shall stand before the rewards seat of Christ (the Bema seat Paul referred to) and have our life after being born from above by The Spirit ‘judged’. Then we will return with JESUS at the end of the age and be present AS WITNESSES at the Great White Throe of Judgment ... not to be judged because GOD already dealt with what is judged with we who are of the Ekklesia, in Christ, JESUS having paid it all in full to His glory not our judgment.

1 Peter 3:19-21 19 in which He also went and preached to the spirits in prison 20 who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being built. In the ark a few people, only eight souls, were saved through water. 21 And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.

You cite Paul but disagree, yet Peter affirms what Paul taught. Salvation is not pie-in-the-sky-by-and-by, it is in the NOW, as Peter taught. It is not a sin to believe in, trust in, 'faithe' in The Promise of God. Paul even took it for granted as a done deal (see 1 Thess 1:10 in your Douay bible: 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven (whom he raised up from the dead,) Jesus, who hath delivered us from the wrath to come.)
