The "rigging" in the 2006 primary amounted to the following: (1) the Alabama GOP preferring the incumbent Republican governor over a challenger, and (2) President George W. Bush saying nice things about Governor Riley during the primary campaign. Seriously.

His fifteen minutes of fame ended years ago. He should just go away and leave the voters of Alabama alone.

I vaguely remember something like that. If that is all it was, then the accusation is overblown, but perhaps there is more to it. I don't know, but it doesn't have any impact on how the establishment did Moore dirty this last go around.

Moore would have won had other Republican officer holders kept their mouths shut.
