Oh, and sound walls. Can’t see the scenery from the freeway, anymore, because they build cinder block walls down both sides that turn the whole thing into a concrete canyon.
Oh, and “Express Lanes”; tax everyone to add another lane, then restrict access on a pay-to-play basis — as if everyone else wasn’t taxed out the wazoo to build the f*g thing.
Leftists who get angry about discrimination haven’t got jack to say about this form of it.

We’ve just had one “added to I 680 which runs through our community. Now, at least in the early going, you have to have another “FasTrak device” known as a Flex, which has the ability for the driver to select the number of occupants of his vehicle (from one to three). Then you dial that in, and if you have at least the number of required occupants for the particular section of the roadway, you are exempt from the tolls. And the new system has “congestion pricing,” so the amount you pony up is related to the amount of current traffic passing through. We don’t use it, but I have seen numbers for the same stretch of roadway that run from $.50 to $5.50 for a section of roadway that’s about ten miles in length. Problem is, if you get into it closer to the end, you still pay the toll. So much to say, less than a mile can also cost you $5.50! I think the time is not far off when this whole issue will be litigated. The RATS have ruined this state!
