Trump grants first international TV interview to 'Apprentice' winner Piers Morgan

President Trump will be interviewed by British commentator Piers Morgan in his first international TV interview since he assumed office, the Daily Mail reported.

Morgan, who previously won the "Celebrity Apprentice," will interview Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Morgan has in the past praised Trump. Last year, he said he genuinely liked Trump.

"I have known him through ten years, and saw from 'The Apprentice' he can be charming, funny, smart and his judgment is spot on," Morgan said at the time. "He loved drama and arguments and making the right decision and being popular."

Morgan has also been critical of some of Trump's actions.

Last November, he blasted Trump for sharing videos from "disgustingly racist far-right extremists" after Trump retweeted videos that claim to show Muslims engaging in violent acts.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump and Morgan talk every three or four weeks.

The interview will air Sunday on ITV.

This story tells me that Trump keeps his firends close and his enemies closer.

A man of true POWER usually knows everyone on BOTH sides of the street.

Piers is so prissy I think he might suck his lips right through his mouth into his skull.

CNBC’s Joe Kernan is saying he will interview Trump live tomorrow at 6 AM Eastern in Davos.

Thanks for the heads up! I don’t watch much CNBC, but I think Joe might be one of the more conservative ones?

He is. A big Trump supporter, and free market booster. Squawk Box is the only show I watch on CNBC. When he’s not on, I switch to the Money Honey on FBN.

I believe that it is a mistake, however, Trump can take him.

Morgan is a trump supporter at least I know he’s defended him several times in the media

Morgan isn’t as prissy as his accent might lead one to believe. I’ve see some of his broadcasts from Great Britain. He’s tough, smart and usually fair. He’s also not afraid to defend his own opinions. I suspect he will ask some tough questions and Trump will handle them well.

Morgan is not a strong conservative, but he doesn’t parrot the left wing talking points either.

He’s an anti-gun prick. I just love it when a Limey tries to lecture us colonials on gun rights...but we gave our answer at Lexington and Concord.

I don’t trust Morgan as far as I can throw an elephant.

Agreed, except for the “Limey” smear, there’s plenty here on FR.

While not endearing, I don’t see ‘limey’ as a slur. Americans are ‘yanks’.
Aussie, kiwi, and the like are, for many, synonyms for the proper terms and not in the same category as a racial slur. There are Brits on FR, maybe they can tell us if they are offended by the word limey.

When one of them is trying to take our guns, then they’re Limeys. Otherwise, I generally love the Brits...except the ones who are STILL hoping to get the colonies back.
