The revelation that the FBI failed to preserve five months worth of anti-Trump agents text messages is evoking memories of Lois Lerner, the IRS official whose emails mysteriously disappeared during congressional investigations into her targeting of conservative non-profit groups.
The [Lois] Lerner thing was huge, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told The Daily Caller. My gut tells me this is probably bigger.
On Sunday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC) revealed that the FBI recently told the Justice Department that it was unable to find text messages exchanged between FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

Yea, so huge that no one was prosecuted and Lerner retired with full pension.
It’s kinda funny. Can you imagine you, me or General motors saying, “Awe shucks. All our backups accidentally got erased.” And getting away with it?
Yeah. Me neither. And they won’t either.
Imagine telling the FBI that you “lost” the records they just happened to be looking for. Yeah, that works.
Obama and Holder were in charge. This is a new world.
Compare it to the 18 minutes of lost Nixon tapes.
The deep state is playing a waiting game. Delay and obfuscate - simply delay and waste time until Republicans potentially lose the House, at which point, Democrats end the investigation.
After that, the country and headlines will also move on to other things.
amen! I wish every creeper who suggests there will be no justice would have to write those words 1000 times on a blackboard.
And Sessions let her Walk.
[ Evidence is being destroyed. ]
Yes it is. Several prople belong in federal prison for 60+ years with no possibility of parole.
This was no accident. It is orchestrated and it takes more than one person to pull this off and try to hide it.
Yes, they’re trying every trick to try and get Democrats in some position like that.
W and Jeb! and Hillary and Obama - all good pals who don’t like an outsider sitting in the office of President.
Gee, wonder why that is? (is the sarcasm tag really necessary)
For months the DOJ and FBI was refusing to turn over documents regarding the dossier. What the eff did congress and Sessions think was going on there? Texts and e-mails being destroyed to hide a coup d’etat, nah, that would never happen.
It’s what they always do — stonewall. Was Sessions threatened with his life? or WHAT!
Our President shouldn’t be afraid to kick Mueller & Sessions to the curb. Who cares what the dimwits think !!
I would not be against circling back and re-investigating Lerner and all those who aided and abetted her. Maybe it was a matter of priorities.
I had a few years in a huge company where I worked with lawyers when there was a possibility of a lawsuit. I was responsible for infrastructure and data including email servers. There are a few rules I remember the lawyers repeating for daily processes and 3 or 4 times we were involved in lawsuits
1) If evidence is destroyed, the court can assume it proved “the worst”. No matter how bad it looks DO NOT DELETE IT - they can say it was even worse.
2) Lost evidence is not different than “destroyed”. BE VERY CAREFUL AND DON’T ACCIDENTLY LOSE OR ERASE ANYTHING related to a lawsuit or governed by our data retention standards.
3) It doesn’t matter if a lawsuit has been filed, if there’s reasonable expectation that data or communications could be requested, we better have it available. If our retention standards cover something, there IS a reasonable expectation that it can be used in a lawsuit.
I went through regular (yearly?) training on data retention. There were many reasons (financial, “learning”, gov’t regulations, etc) but the main one was that we better have as much data as possible if a lawsuit comes up. Also, if there was potential of lawsuit (friction with vendors/clients/customers/FCC/SEC or a threat by us or by them) we needed to start emailing everything to have it archived. Avoid phone calls and meetings on related matters. If we have calls or meetings, sum them up in detail in an email to all participants to make sure we have an archive - even if we discuss how WE ARE AT FAULT.
I know the government doesn’t work by the same laws/ethics as business. But congress should really be talking about the laws/ethics/rules that businesses live by. The FBI would have been upset if my company lost communications or data they were interested in while investigating us. We would not receive the benefit of the doubt no matter why we said it was lost.
“Our President shouldnt be afraid to kick Mueller & Sessions to the curb.”
But he is Afraid, and his not taking a stand could destroy the Republic.
I think that would go over only slightly better than telling them that you lost
the agents they sent to interview
you.

But, honestly, the lack of swift, public, and Just punishment to the perpetrators of such as this only drives home the point that there is no justice to be had within the system… and that, in turn, means that people will think that the only way to get justice is to take matters into their own hands. The continued lack of justice, and indeed blatant injustice, is harming the government in ways that I think most in government cannot possibly comprehend but is very real nonetheless.
The East had a philosophical idea called The Mandate of Heaven
, somewhat similar to the West's The Divine Right of Kings
except that there was one major difference — the Mandate could be lost while the Divine Right, it was argued [by nobles], could not be lost. (Somewhat ironically, the Divine Right of Kings is absolutely able to be lost; as in Christendom it is well-known that King Saul lost his Right when he sacrificed contrary to God's Law; see: 1 Samuel 13:1-14.)
And the crap like the whole government shutdown
because of "Dreamers" (the children of invaders) shows that the elite have more loyalty towards aliens than our own people — how long can a country last when it actively works against those it is in place to protect?
That was my first clue that Sessions wasnt the guy we thought he was.
And Sessions let her Walk.
And Sessions let her Walk.
And Sessions let her Walk.
And Sessions let her Walk.
And Sessions let her Walk.
This is all the proof needed. Jeff Sessions is never going to prosecute anyone and is providing cover for career government criminals. Jeff Sessions is jeopardizing Trumps presidency. Sessions should resign or he needs to be investigated.
