Dang, you just reminded me my Bride has a box (big one at that) in the laundry room full of singleton socks accumulated over years after not finding its match. I guess I can do the Great Sock Match of 2018 and see if I can join a few into usable pairs.

But it had lower ratings than last years Championship game. At this point the different sides are hunting statistics. I for one have dropped the NFL from my viewing list. Many others have too. In my Republican voting county I have several times asked large groups in line at the store, “Who is watching the big game today?”. Seldom does anyone speak up, but when they do it is someone telling a story about how they can’t support the game anymore. The stores are full of gear at half price for the local team, and have been for 4 months. Cashiers at the stores no longer wear the team colors on Fridays as is traditional. The NFL is in its death throes, they just don’t know it yet.
When they prove that a certain Saints player took a dive to make some money for a New Orleans gambler, it will be the spike that is driven into the heart of the professional league. I didn’t have to watch the game to know this, just look at it online.

I remember being made fun of for studying while friends and roommates went out partying. Years later, the long nights with differential equations, circuits, and phase diagrams more than professionally outweighed what little my friends and roommates might remember from their beer infused so called fun.
Hang in there, it will be well worth it in the long run.

I would rather risk being squirted with the stinky stuff or tail slapped by my pooch than scratched and yelled at by the cat.
Last time I gave the cat a bath, I ended up with deep scratches and the neighbors thought I was beating my Bride since the cat sounded like a screaming woman.
After all, I can wash off whatever the dog produces but the cat inflicts longer lasting pain.
