Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Monday announced the Justice Department will investigate missing text messages sent between two FBI agents critical of President Trump, joining the chorus of Republican lawmakers who are eager to recover the exchange.
"I have spoken to the Inspector General and a review is already underway to ascertain what occurred and to determine if these records can be recovered in any other way. If any wrongdoing were to be found to have caused this gap, appropriate legal disciplinary action measures will be taken," he continued.

There are NO missing messages. They have every single one.
I CERTAINLY HOPE SO!! Sessions has cost this president a hell of a lot, and redemption is demanded.
Have no clue what magically lit him up to show some work product, but it better be good.
You don't know the context. Plus the citizens are too dumb to understand it.
BTW - haven't heard much about McCain recently. Things can go very quickly with what he has.

today. Sessions already knew they were missing.

Interesting that Sessions deemed it necessary to get involved and release a statement. Perhaps he’s finally narrowing the scope of his recusal?
No no you miss understand! The IG found out that there was a 5 month gap from DOJ...that after reviewing whatever he was looking into...he noticed something was missing, that being the five month gap of texts between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. Sara Carter just said that reports are that the IG did get them somehow maybe in a raw form way before someone in the FBI apparently wiped them clean. Basically he found obstruction of justice and notified Sessions
Fire everyone in the FBI who had access to texts. Walk them, get keys, badges, credentials, guns and government devices. Take to mass transportation. Kick them out and say good luck and get an attorney

There was a hint a few days ago that basically stated that one example we will see is that known Clinton advisors and known Clinton cronies falsely authenticated the dossier to fisa court so that Obama could spy on Trump. People like Sidney Blumenthal
In Sessions’ defense, since no one else will and I don’t want to, in fairness it’s no wonder he seems to be flummoxed.
The amount of corruption from Obama’s administration is such that it must be like choosing to play `Whack A Mole!’ at Chuckee Cheese, picking up your mallet, then noticing that the board has dozens of moles popping up out of a hundred holes.

This does not involve the Trump campaign, directly, so Sessions can get involved without violating his recusal.
I listened to Hannity’s radio program today.
I’m watching his show right now.
Carter is on and saying nothing about finding the missing 5 months.
Just the opposite.
Maybe they will find them with the NSA, the cell company or the
original phones. As of right now, they are missing.
Did you ever consider that Sessions has been lit up all along?
If you begin with that assumption, the possibilities for Sessions are endless.

Sessions is saying they “found” that five months of texts are missing. Not that they found them. Not exactly breaking news but it’s always nice to hear from Sleepy Sessions.

Even if corrupt FBI personnel were able to “Wipe it? Like with a cloth?”, the NSA has everything. All they have to do is ask for it.
