The FBI Lost 5 Months Worth of Text Messages Between Anti-Trump Agents

The Daily Caller reports that the FBI “failed to preserve five months of text messages" exchanged between two anti-Trump FBI employees who may have compromised on going investigations such as the Clinton e-mail scandal and the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross reports that “The disclosure was made Friday in a letter sent by the Justice Department to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).

'The Department wants to bring to your attention that the FBI’s technical system for retaining text messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page,' Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs at the Justice Department, wrote to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of HSGAC

He said that texts are missing for the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.”

As this author previously noted, according to the Washington Post, Strzok's actions may have influenced other investigations, such as the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton's illegal e-mail use. The "text messages with a colleague" the Times refers to is  regarding messages critical of President Trump exchanged with FBI attorney Lisa Page, with whom Strzok was having an affair.

"Peter Strzok, as deputy head of counterintelligence at the FBI, was a key player in the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server to do government work as secretary of state, as well as the probe into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election.

During the Clinton investigation, Strzok was involved in a romantic relationship with FBI lawyer Lisa Page, who worked for Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, according to the people familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue.

The extramarital affair was problematic, these people said, but of greater concern among senior law enforcement officials were text messages the two exchanged during the Clinton investigation and campaign season, in which they expressed anti-Trump sentiments and other comments that appeared to favor Clinton."

As noted by Ross, May 17, 2017 is of particular significance. That is the day special counsel Robert Mueller took over the Russian investigation. Correct or not, the fact that text messages between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page from the previous mysteriously disappeared is sure to draw suspicion that something nefarious was occurring at the FBI during that time.

The article, as so many are in Gateway Pundit, seems to promise more in the headline than it delivers. They pose the question at the bottom whether the statement that they received the messages was just sloppily worded and maybe they didn’t really get what they were told they were getting. It’s all people lost in a fog trying to describe the fog to people they can’t see.

There are a lot of problems in this country...

The FBI, the NSA, the IRS, the CIA, the Clinton's, the Obama's, the Democrats in both Houses......

But I think the worst..and absolutely the problem... in this country is the MSM...

Take a gander at this...and tell me you think I'm nut's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnTnpN2H34A

They have control over what smart and dumb..and in between American's think.

Who was it....Stalin...or Lenin that said..."Control the media, and you control the people"...or something close to that.

Most American voters are sheep. Plain and simple...and they lap up what the MSM tells them.

It's pathetic...but that is where we are.

Where is it backed up?

I keep hearing this junk..."Well the NSA has it"...or "Winki Leaks has it".....

Or, all text and e-mails are traceable...from somewhere.

So...how come we never got to the bottom of HRC's missing e-mails????

I'm just sick of this crap...over and over again.

And Sandy Burger walked out of the National Archives with incriminating documents on the Clinton’s ineptitude in allowing 9/11 to happen...

His sentence....a $50,000 fine, 2 year of “community service” and stripped of his security clearance for 3 years...

In a situation involving theft of an item.....it was found before it was lost.

In the case of the lost FBI phone records

..they were lost before they were found.

At least five years in prison for obstructing justice, along with a whole laundry list of other crimes.

This is suspicious on several levels, not the least of which is how does the FBI...THE FBI, fail to capture this information for five months without anybody in their IT departments not noticing? Unbelievable excuse. I’d like to get these IT guys under oath and find out who directed them to delete these communications.

"The texts got the ‘headquarters treatment’."

It's becoming obvious that Sessions must really be a Deep State plant. If Trump had a real Attorney General we would already be knee deep in Deep State prosecutions and the Mueller probe would never have existed.

If Sessions were on Trump's side he would have resigned rather than recuse.

There is just no possible way that Sessions is on Trump's side. Just imagine how things would be now if it weren't for Sessions.

If you’re doing that, this Albertan wants in.

I’ve been asking that question for at least 10 years.
