Yer first hunnert Larri.
I wonder what they have on him—other than his inherited leftism.
TSA needs to disappear.
Its a joke and a hinderence to free people
Wow I had no idea he could do that.Could you elaborate a little bit more on that? It’s a huge find you have there.
Charles Lane is lying again...
Yeah!
But my best technical days were in DC in the 1980s. By the 1990s, I was a senior NCO and so-called “management”. I had to stop playing with the toys.
I spent my last year (1997) going to meetings discussing Y2K and plans to prevent damage from it, when I was sure there’d be NONE.
Within a year of retirement, I had my MCSE in Windows NT 4.0!

MULVANEY: From an OMB perspective, because were involved in managing a lapse or shutdown, and we want to make folks understand that it will look very different than it did under the previous administration. One of the things that Ive learned since Ive been in this office is that, theres no other way to describe it, but the Obama administration weaponized the shutdown in 2013. What they didnt tell you was they did not encourage agencies use carried forward funds, funds that they were sitting on, nor did they encourage agencies to use transfer authority. They could have made the shutdown in 2013 much less impactful but they chose to make it worse. The only conclusion I can draw is that they did so for political purposes.
I dont think this comes as a huge shock to anyone. From the inside, I can tell you that it is a completely different attitude. In 2013, as the shutdown approached the federal government issued WARN notices to employees and there was close liaison with unemployement agencies to facilitate registering unemployed federal workers for compensation. None of that is happening this time. In fact, federal offices will be open Monday regardless of a shutdown.
Mulvaney: Obama Administration Weaponized the Last Shutdown, It Wont Happen This Time
Poor NeverTrumpers can’t get around President Trump not being Politically Corrap. They want him to surrender rather than fight back.
These GOPers don’t understand you can either win ugly or lose graciously.
Who is this stupid old hag on Fox whining about course language and beating up African immigrants?
Pure hokem!
Yep, the interview with Joe is the best I have heard when it comes to making a very complex scandal into an understandable narrative and the very substantial Constitutional issues that are at stake.
Poo little Libs think Trump is a meanie. Wonder how many things he would have accomplished by not fighting or texting? Don’t fall for the trap Mr President.
35 year ago the Medditeranian was on fire and folks in the north of Africa were trying to kill me.
35 years on and we are opening the gates to the West
I will return the $20 to the bank with joy in my heart.
But I would not have taken up half a day returning it to the bank. I’d have left the damn thing hanging given a choice.
And lest anyone think I’m a bit full of myself today, insert wink here.
For all is not perfect in this formerly McLaughlin household (hiya brother Mike).
For I get up the other morning and one of my cats-I have three-has her entire eyeball hanging out.
CALM DOWN!
At least I thought it was but it would turn out that a huge piece of what is called the sclera was hanging out. I’m thinking she had a spat with another cat and a claw got into her eyeball.
She can see okay, I can tell that. No damage to her eyeball.
But she’s got a piece of eye meat hanging out of her eye socket. I hold her and can force the eye meat back into place but let go and splat it comes right back.
I just have no idea if this thing will heal on its own or will I have to take her to the Vet who always puts his hands all over me and looks like Mitt Romney?
Heh.
I’m not sure the vet could do much about it. I just worry that it will get infected but I am watching it closely.
Poor baby.
Of course, you are wrong.
No such force is required to resolve an issue that will wither on the vine
It's a stupid game. I don't follow bowling.

............
I’m now wondering if McConnel couldn’t just declare the 60 vote unnecessary like dingy harry did and keep the govt.open with 50 or 51 votes?
...............
Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are flogging Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi at every opportunity for being obstructionists and for wanting to shut down the government.
(The truth is that only about 83% of the government actually shuts down when the government shuts down, which is why Ive put the phrase in quotation marks. Social Security checks keep going out, welfare checks keep going out, and so forth. And every federal worker who is furloughed during the shutdown gets all his back pay in one lump sum when the crisis is solved. So a government shutdown essentially represents a paid vacation for everybody who works for Uncle Sam.)
But here is what Mitch McConnell does not want you to know: the real obstructionist here is not Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi, but Mitch McConnell himself. This is because he continues to allow for a fake filibuster (which I call a fake-a-buster) that requires 60 votes to end. This means for any meaningful legislation to go forward - including a continuing resolution (CR) to keep the doors of government open -, a little cabal of nine obstreperous Democrats can completely gum up the wheels of government and bring them to a grinding halt.
The original idea behind the filibuster is actually a good one, and one which I support. Filibuster used to mean unlimited debate. In other words, as long as any lawmaker had something he wanted to contribute to the debate, the floor would remain open until every voice was heard and every point had been made. All well and good. But eventually you get to the point where everybody has had their say, you vote to close debate, and then go directly to a vote on the legislation. Thats how its supposed to work.
But the fake-a-buster is not like that. Rather than extending debate, it terminates debate. As soon as somebody calls for the fake-a-buster, all debate stops until one side or the other can cobble together 60 votes to break it. (The House has always required only a simple majority to end debate.)
This, of course, allows for the tyranny of the minority. It allows a tiny, little clique of nine senators to control the entire United States Senate. This would have been unthinkable to the Founders, who made no provision for a filibuster of any kind in the Constitution. As Thomas Jefferson said, Where the law of the majority ceases to be acknowledged, there government ends.
The 60-vote filibuster is not in the Constitution nor is it in the law anywhere. It is found only in the Senate rules, which can be changed at any time, with a simple majority of 51 votes. Harry Reid, for instance, got rid of the filibuster for appeals court nominees in 2013, and the Republicans got rid of it for Supreme Court nominees in 2016, which is how we got Neil Gorsuch on the bench.
Senate Republicans have 51 votes right now, as we speak. In other words, the Republican majority could terminate the filibuster rule today. And they should. In the meantime, do not let Mitch McConnell lie to you. The Democrats are not the real problem here. He is.
Wonder how much money went to Barak’s account from U1? All of these scandals are interconnected with the Russian dossier as a way to win the election and keep this regime in charge and keeping the bribes coming in.
I was just kidding. Don't you remember Cheech and Chong?
Mulvaney is a brawler and a star. He’d be perfect replacing Sleepy Sessions at DOJ, IMO.
