Those who refuse to play the game of politics, will be played by those who do.
“Those who refuse to play the game of politics, will be played by those who do.”
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry, that’s not the way it actually works. At some point you have to objectively look at the results of a strategy. Political involvement for conservatives in general and Christians in particular has been an utter failure. Christians and conservatives have been heavily in politics in some fashion since the late 70’s, early 80’s. So 40 years give or take.
In that time have we managed to balance the budget?
In that time have we managed to reduce the scope of government?
In that time have we managed to expand liberty?
In that time have we managed to end legalized infanticide?
So, in spite of countless of hours of time and abundant treasure that our side has spent in politics, the answers to those questions are no, no, no, and NO. And yet what we hear from the political apologists is that we just need to throw a little bit more time and treasure at politics and we’ll somehow see great results.
Politics has failed Christians and conservatives and it’s time to try something else.
Thanks again for the post.
