The states top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.
Its important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know more specifically today, employers that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office, state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. We will prosecute those who violate the law.
Becerras warning comes as fears spread of mass workplace raids following reports that immigration agents plan to target Northern California communities for deportations due in part to the states sanctuary law, which seeks to restrict local law enforcement agencies ability to cooperate with immigration authorities.

You cannot prevent a citizen from cooperating with Federal LEO.
When is DHS going after these traitors, again?
The Feds need to raid the California government.
Is California in a State of Rebellion?
call the bluff
What a hellhole CA has become.
Incarcerate the AG
“When is DHS going after these traitors, again?”
No kidding! Little Javier is the first CA state employee I’d like to see arrested, tried, and deported back to Mexico.
This is sedition. The CA state authorities are inciting disobedience to federal law.
And we the people will prosecute you via AG Sessions.
Democraps are just flat-out traitors.
Perhaps, but really? Not the way to bet!
The California Attorney General should be arrested for interfering with federal enforcement of immigration law.
While I think the AG is a loon, the headline is very misleading.
Every time I start thinking that those loons in Sacramento have finally reached “Peak Loony” they prove me wrong.
It is time for hundreds of thousands of us who have a little time to do the reporting. Unofficial federal agents. I am ordering my ICE hat today.
Sedition.
It’s getting so close to the time when Trump needs to arrest lawbreakers like this AG.
The California AG needs to be subject to a predawn raid and hauled off as a co-conspirator with the illegal alien smugglers and drug gangs.
This is the real collusion. It is evil, illegal and inexcusable.
