Love love love this! As a California who loves this state I stand with the majority of Californians who are fed up with ‘tax spend and and run’ democrats ruining our lives. Time to take our State back and start deporting illegals and putting the Sacramento Legislature barons on notice.
I like that. Set up a series of zones each with a military governor. Maybe a top dog over the whole thing. Until they can demonstrate the ability to govern themselves.

I live in NY. If you look at the 2016 election “by county map”. It’s a red state. NYC and Albany screw it up.

The State of Jefferson was actually the original idea of the mayor of Port Orford Oregon in 1941.
About the same chance of "turning it around" or fixing it.

I think the State of Jefferson is an excellent proposition, as I live in SW OR. Maybe SW OR could join up with the New CA.
I am all for that. The I-5 corridor and West, East of I-5 starting at the foothills of the Cascades (East half of Clark County where I am) 2 States. Let Jay Inslee have his liberal utopia and half as many electoral votes. Heck with it, no need to make a new state, we will just become a larger Idaho and add to their electoral votes. (I love me some Idaho!)

Perhaps, but those rules will not apply unless and until you can convince CA’s leftist legislature to agree to a split. What are the odds? They and every other socialist in the US and elsewhere will fight the issue tooth and nail.
It gives me little joy to play the devil’s advocate here, having spent most of my life living and vacationing in many of the most beautiful locations in CA.
America is structured to accommodate different viewpoints and those are expressed in elections. The fix to what we regard as the threat to CA will require thinking outside of the box in the face of unusual and extraordinary circumstances
The problem is that the veneer of civilization is now scrubbed off most or at least all the Dem politicians and many of the Rs or some,as well as many residents such as BLM blacks, La Raza, many or majority of illegals, “refugees”, Antifa types and all those who support these. Open rebellion is being not only fomented but practiced by state governments and localities within states.
When one side plays by the rules put in place by gentlemen of the past, and the other side s**ts on such rules and is actually in open rebellion, the solution has to be found somehow or other.
And waiting until the conservatives outnumber the commiepukes in CA, for instance, while they welcome criminals from all over the world to come and vote, is suicidal.
Hmmm...maybe Connecticut could break into two...Northwest and Northeast Connecticut could be a red state...
