President Donald Trump corrected his Chief of Staff John Kelly after he said that the president had evolved on the wall. Theres been an evolutionary process that this president has gone through, Kelly said in an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, pointing out that Trump had very definitely changed his attitude towards DACA recipients and the wall.
But Trump pushed back on Twitter against the suggestion that he had evolved on the wall.
The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it, Trump said.

You mentioned your growing investments, not me, and this thread is about what Kelly said last night & DJTs need to correct it. Start a new thread about the Trump Economic Miracle, I couldn’t be happier with it.
Best guess: they think this panic-routine makes them look smart. While the Trump sheep keep on believing Trumps campaign promises, the smart, people know hes just waiting for the big chance to backstab his base. Why such an absurdity would make anybody feel superior is a mystery, but thats likely at the bottom of it.
I just can’t say it better than that, FW. You have always been eloquent on the confusing and downright destructive behavior of the quailling Trump “supporters”. They certainly think they are the smartest people around no matter how many times they are proven wrong.
You don’t get to dictate what is posted on this thread. But then, of course, you think you’re Kelly’s boss so who knows what you’ll dictate next...
Coordinating this stuff is incredibly hard to do. Kelly is herding cats AND trying to follow the bouncing ball.
Staying on a thread topic isn't dictating it's kinda understood by those less emotional.
The intellectually insecure will go to nearly any length to prove their mental superiority. I’ve actually met conservatives who defended certain Obama lies as being true, bc they thought that made them look sophisticated and worldly wise. It was incredible.
But that experience does illustrate how much it means to some to think of themselves as sperior. It’s not productive t argue with that attitude, either, since there are no facts or logic involved—just self-image.
Smh.
You give me a migraine.
Head to an Irish Pub and ask for a 'bat and a ball', in fact order two. Things will clear up.
‘AND trying to follow the bouncing ball.’
It sounds like that ball has a lot in common with Orin Hatch’s eyeglasses.
Sorry! I just dont have the time to list what everyone was talking about six months ago. Gorka, scarramucci, are just two. There were a number of NSC trumpers that kelly and mcmaster got rid.
There’s no evidence that Kelly got Gorka fired. Gorka himself denies it strenuously.
As to Scaramucci, was his exit Kelly’s fault, or did Scaramucci let his mouth get the better of him?
Wrong. How about bannon? Who forced him out? And if you listen to any gorka interviews he has repeatedly made the claim that there was a distinct move to get rid of trump supporters. Mcmaster and kelly are the usual culprits. Kelly has cut trump off from all of his supporters except miller.
Scarramucci did himself in. He made the same mistake Bannon did. This is neither brain surgery nor the proverbial 3-D Chess. People generally get themselves fired. Spoiler alert: this is not a defense of Kelly. Like Ivanka, Jared et all, they can come or they can go. All I care is that Trump stays.
Bannon forced Bannon out by rolling out the red carpet for Wolff. The WH is not that easy to get into, but Bannon gave Wolff the keys to the kingdom—a WH Visitor’s Pass. Without Bannon, there would be no Wolff book.
If that is your idea of a Trump supporter, you need to rethink it. Anybody who cozys up to a Trump-hater like Wolff—whose goal is to end the Trump presidency—is no Trump supporter.
Excellent point! I’m no Kelly fan either, but blaming him for mistakes made by Bannon and Scaramucci is silly. They did themselves in.
Gorka opted to resign. It was his choice. The people who are blaming Kelly for that need to understand that they’re calling Gorka a liar. As for me, I believe Gorka’ s version. He’s an honest person.
Pure fantasy.
Remind to bang my head off the wall several times the next time I attempt to make a point to someone like you.
Please, do me a favor and bang your head now.
The WH has confirmed that it was Bannon who gave Wolff access to the WH. Why else would two of Trump’s personal spokesmen say there is no way back for Bannon? Getting quoted or misquoted in Wolff’s book is not an unforgivable offense. Being the one person most responsible for making Wolff’s book possible is a bridge too far.
