You were a step ahead of me on Sessions. As I said before, I thought it was a good move at the time. There had been warning signs, but it’s true that Sessions had been out in front when it came to supporting Trump. Yet given his big chance, he blew it spectacularly and catastrophically. History will not treat him well.

Sessions can afford to do piddly stuff. His big job—recusing himself, allowing Rosenstein to appoint Mueller and give him unlimited scope and a bottomless checkbook—is done.
