President Donald Trump corrected his Chief of Staff John Kelly after he said that the president had evolved on the wall. Theres been an evolutionary process that this president has gone through, Kelly said in an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, pointing out that Trump had very definitely changed his attitude towards DACA recipients and the wall.
But Trump pushed back on Twitter against the suggestion that he had evolved on the wall.
The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it, Trump said.

Apparently, in order to be a true conservative with these guys, you have to assume Trump is always wobbling into far-left liberalism. Then you have to run around screaming about it to everyone you know. Because the more you scream, the more you use CAPS and exclamation points, the smarter and more conservative you are. And you still must back up Bannon despite his insane remarks to Wolfe. I have more sympathy with Scarramucci (sic!) who since leaving the WH has been very supportive of the President. Same with Lewandowski.
Not so sure about Mattis. He was a 4-start before Obama and he didn’t work for Obama. I agree about Allen & McMaster.
I’m with you on Scaramucci and Lewandowski. I like both of them. Bannon I care for as a human being, and if he needs help with substance abuse issues I sincerely hope he gets it. In the WH, though, he was a toxic nightmare. It’s been confirmed that he was one of the biggest leakers. His leaks were very damaging, since their purpose was to destroy other WH people that Bannon considered rivals. Somebody said the CoS should have clamped down on Bannon but Priebus was most likely egging him on. All the really nasty, gossipy, destructive leaks stopped when Bannon and Priebus were ousted.
How anyone can still imagine that Bannon was a Trump supporter is a mystery. Bannon hated Kushner enough to want to burn the whole thing down—and via Wolff he nearly succeeded.
You are simply one of the most brilliant posters here on Trump & his WH. You truly get it.
You are too kind.
Thank you.
I wonder how many who always turn against Trump, before he even does/says anything, were most probably very late and grudging supporters, who never have liked nor understood the man.
Bannon should never have been allowed anywhere even remotely near Trump, let alone hired for any position and worse yet, was the Priebus and Sessions hires for the position thye had/have.
Kelly did Trump a favor by researching that sham DACA deal Gramnesty and Turbin tried to sell him.
Kelly is on the right side and wasn’t around for Trump’s rallies. I think he didn’t know Trump had already said you have to allow for natural barriers etc.
Trump is the kind of guy that let’s those around him think they are “guiding” Trump. But in reality he is “guiding” them.
‘I wonder how many who always turn against Trump, before he even does/says anything, were most probably very late and grudging supporters, who never have liked nor understood the man.’
I wonder exactly the same thing. Most genuine Trump supporters understand Trump’s concept of the Deal. We aren’t worried about him selling us out bc that is not the way Trump treats those with whom he has made a deal.
I don’t know, np. But they get under my skin. Could you tell, lol?!
I have an excellent memory and was on ALL of the TRUMP RALLY threads. I may forget one or three who were on those threads ( we were ALL, except for the damned TROLLS, his BIGGEST supporters ), so I came to that observation through observation and logical deduction. :-)
I have gathered that the Mercers recommended Bannon. It’s likely he’d have worked out better if he hadn’t conceived a pathological hatred for Kushner. But I agree with you that he was a poor choice on balance. He has a hard time figuring out who is the boss.
Priebus really came through during the campaign. He turned on a dime once he got into the WH. That’s the swamp’s MO, I guess. Work for Trump when he seems inevitable, and then undercut him at every juncture once he’s a done deal.
Sessions surprised and disappointed many. He seemed like a white hat in the Senate, but he’s been a disastrous AG. The day it’s politically expedient to fire him will be a good day.
They drive me up a wall as well; especially since you can tell that they really want Trump to fail.
Agree.
I've ALWAYS loathed Priebus and he was ALWAYS a "thing" of THE SWAMP!
Sessions is all mouth, no do, an opportunist, and is probably THE worst pick, that Trump has made; except for the nepotism crap. He is absolutely USELESS and worse than that...worse than useless...a detriment.
* The Mercers like the Koches want things THEIR way and their way is not anything that favors we the people.
The really funny things about them is...when I call them on not being an original supporter, they all claim that the were. Then I hit them with the Rally Thread stuff and they either cl,aim that they were there ( which is a LIE! ), or change the subject/yell at me/just shut up and leave. LOL
I have lived and learned where Sessions is concerned. I originally thought he’d be a good AG, but I couldn’t have been more mistaken. Partly it must be that the Senate ruins people for anything else. Partly it just seems like Sessions is a coward or compromised. He’s been, as you said, actively detrimental. The day he can be fired without undue backlash cannot come soon enough.
That was entertaining. I.e.: the reaction of those who claim to have been early Trump supporters but who were not. Kind of like the people who claim to have been at Woodstock. The number has grown year by year. But at least those who make that claim believe Woodstock would have been worth attending. Those who now claim to have been early Trump supporters are mainly doing it to bolster their current, trigger-happy criticism. Hmm.
I was shocked when Trump made him AG; truly shocked and horrified!
Sessions is both a coward and probably also compromised ( not to mention having always also been mealy-mouthed ) and we lost a seat in the Senate because of him! WHAT HAS HE EVER ACTUALLY DONE?
The sooner he is fired, the happier I'll be!
It's also somewhat akin to the morons, here, who stupidly quote the old, hoary saying : "IF YOU CLAIM TO REMEMBER THE '60S, YOU WEREN'T ALIVE"...or something close to that.
Not only do I fully remember just about every single day of the 1960s...I never did any drugs, nor was I ever drunk through any of that decade. And those who say that crap, probably were still in diapers ( if they lived through it at all ) or weren't out of their teensy minds on dope or drink.
