Paul Ryan: Republicans Need To 'Pay Attention' To Democrats' Big Special Election Win

WASHINGTON ― Wisconsin Democrats scored a major upset victory Tuesday when they won a state Senate race in a district that Donald Trump easily carried in the 2016 presidential election.

Top Wisconsin Republicans ― including House Speaker Paul Ryan ― acknowledged it was a blow to their party, and it could mean bad news for the GOP in the 2018 midterm elections.

“I know this district fairly well. It’s not my district. It’s over in western Wisconsin. But typically, we’ve held this seat. And we lost this seat last night,” Ryan told reporters in Washington on Wednesday. “So yeah, I think we should pay attention to it.”

“Alabama voters were told by their GOP Senator to write someone else in.”

I agree. Plus the local republican committees needs to make phone calls, put up signs, etc., remind people the importance of voting in all elections. I don’t know if they did any of that, but surely they could have done better than 12% turnout.

Republicans need to pay attention to how Democrats stand behind fellow democrats when they are accused of something for obvious political purposes instead of throwing their fellow party member off the bus just to make themselves look good.

"I don’t see the Republicans contesting."

Who elects Wisconsin state senators?

Regarding possible ballot-box fraud, the RINO-controlled Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration is unsurprisingly not rushing to do its job to guarantee the states a republican form of government.

"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

As evidenced by concerns about the integrity of this Wisconsin election, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible ballot box fraud and MSM scare tactics.

Corrections, insights welcome.

Hell of a Bushy job there Paul. The Speaker can’t even get voters out in his home state. That should say all you need to know about Dirty Paul.

Well, when you’re told you will be doing evil to vote for that candidate, that’s what happens.

... and what about the candidate? No matter what the Rs in DC when it comes to local elections we need a good candidate. I know nothing about him other than he looks like a dork. :-)

The gop faction of the uniparty is desperately trying to lose the 2018 election. Keep in mind that the goodies accruing to the “loyal opposition” are almost as generous as those going to the victors. In some cases even moreso. The “loyal opposition” gets to work the Kobe beef circuit just the same as the winners without the responsibility of getting anything done.

The dilemmas this country faces are primarily cultural and spiritual. We aren’t going to solve them through politics.

Politics is a scam and we’re suckers for playing.

Five special elections last night. The GOP won 4/5. In the one they lost a libertarian was also on the ballot. Just saying.
