ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. New Mexico has been ranked the eighth worst state in which to retire by the financial website WalletHub.
The site ranked the states using 41 metrics on affordability, quality of life and health care.
New Mexico fared especially poorly on property crime, ranking 50th. It did better on adjusted cost of living, where it ranked 18th; the percentage of population aged 65 and older (19th); and on health care facilities per capita (19th).

“Albuquerque = property crime. They really need to get a grip on it, totally out of control.”
They decided cracking down on the police department would make more sense.

Tex Mex is legitimate, as is Californian, or New Mexican...or make that northern and southern New Mexican.
And are different and all are far removed from the food of Mexico.

“I still Jones for Baja food.”
I haven’t Jones’d for anything in years but I still get a hankering.
Where did that “Jonesing” expression come from, I wonder? I haven’t heard it in a long time and I still like it.

I prefer not to move from California at my age, but...
If I had no choice--- New Mexico would be among my 4 top choices.

I think it went back to Cosby and “The Basketball Jones”
Beyond that it was “keeping up with the Jonses”
They got it so I desire it... Just a guess
