Palestinian leaders vote to urge PLO to suspend recognition of Israel

RAMALLAH — Palestinian leaders voted on Monday to call for the suspension of recognition of Israel, as they met in response to US President Donald Trump’s acknowledgement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The vote ordered the Palestine Liberation Organisation to suspend its recognition of the Jewish state until Israel “recognizes the state of Palestine,” cancels its annexation of East Jerusalem, and stops settlement activity, a statement said.

It was unclear if the vote by the Palestinian Central Council, a high-ranking arm of the PLO, was binding. A previous vote by the council in 2015 to suspend security coordination with Israel was never implemented.

The vote was 74 in favour, two against, with 12 abstentions, according to an AFP journalist present.

On Sunday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas denounced White House peace efforts as the “slap of the century.”

The rare meeting of the Palestinian Central Council — a high-ranking arm of the Palestine Liberation Organization — was called after Trump’s December 6 recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The PLO/PA has never recognized the legitimacy of Israel as a nation. They have fought tooth and nail against Israel since 1948. They teach hatred of Jews in their schools and constantly attack. Arafat was, and Abbas still is a Muslim terrorist.

You may dress a pig up in a dress and put lipstick on it, but it will always be a pig. It will always be true to its nature. That’s why after 25 years (1992-2017) the Palestinian representatives cry, scream, attack, but never negotiate.

ROTF while LMAO! I've despised this self-taught hateful culture from the mid-90's. I used to cry for the peaceful Israelis/Jews back when the so-called Palis would bomb weddings, cafes, market-places, buses, etc.

I once saw a documentary called, "The Children of Gaza". The producer did her unbiased research and talked to many Pali families about their difficulties. At the end, she was completely disheartened by learning how the adults taught their children to hate and kill anything Israeli or Jewish.

She even interviewed an approximate 12 year old with his AK-47 in hand and he told her on camera how he wanted to kill Jews. I've tried to find it since, but can't. May be I dreamed it after the daily horrific massacres I kept track of. They are such a despicable culture.

Reminder: When Israel unilaterally decided to give them the Gaza Strip, what did those people immediately do with it? First correct answer gets a free vacation to the sunny beaches of Israel. Sorry, refreshments not included.

And screw you too, United Nations, for your countless resolutions against Israel's forced response to Pali attacks. You UN "people" (too many cultures) are damn-*ass evil. The building should be razed and let Trump build some housing.

The PLO demands that Israel retreat to its 1967 borders, and then there would be peace. So what exactly was the "Palestinian Liberation Organization" trying to "liberate" when they founded...in 1964?

I’m going to love it when Trump puts the hammer down. I hope it’s something like this: The US will recognize Israel’s current borders + 1% more of the Westbank every week that they don’t make peace. I think the PaliTerrorists will cave by the time they hit 85% of thier remaining land.
