Republican Senator David Perdue of Georgia came to President Trumps defense Sunday after he said reports of the presidents choice of words during a meeting on immigration last week were a gross misrepresentation....Im telling you he did not use that word, George, Perdue said. And Im telling you its a gross misrepresentation....Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., had released a joint statement on Friday with Perdue, denying the offensive language.

That is a long way from “Shit hole” . I speculate he could have said many things that Gramnesty deems “basically accurate” . If you ask me what is said and your depiction is “basically accurate” — you have used the wrong wording. The range of possibilities is endless but there is no possibility that the president used “shit hole” based on Gramnesty’s “ basically accurate” qualifier. “same thing” may not be “same thing”. What the hell did he say , SENATOR?
