‘98 Toyota Tacoma 4wd, built in late ‘97. I have about 84,000 miles on it. A guy at Jiffy Lube wanted to buy it.

How about some 'quality German engineering' on this thread?
😜

Maybe it's not a birth defect...
Maybe it's just wearing, "mom jeans"?
(I'm just busting on the shape of the rear bed.) My condolences on the loss of your friend.

My Honda Accord just went over the 200000 mile mark, never had any problems with it.

I haven’t traded in a car in over a third of a century. I keep them until they can’t be kept running on a cost-effective basis, then call the local free tow charity to get them out of the driveway.
If you shop right and negotiate well, you can end up with about the same discount if you don’t have a trade-in. It just takes a bit more work and time.

I was seriously thinking of having *business cards* printed out to hand to people who stop me talk about the car, which I have affectionately named the *Ronnie Raygun*.
Well Reagan was still President when this car was new ...1988.
Can't tell you how many times people have asked me if they can take a picture w/ the car. LOL. Roof racks are useful.

Looks like a Wally World trip is in store. It's missing the "Honky Lips".

Toyota paid for the list?

I have a 2004 Mini Cooper that has many miles left in it. At almost 160,000 miles, I’ve finally had to have some original equipment replaces.

A `95 Mercury Sable that just bit the dust. `83 Chevy truck and 2007 Buick both still running strong.
Not a single American vehicle? Skarew that.

My most reliable, by far, is a 1956 Studebaker President.
I had one of those. 289 w/a side draft 2bbl. 3 spd w/overdrive and a hill holder clutch.

2003 Buick Century....Its been good to me.
1999 Century. Mine's good too, though I prefer the Park Avenue. I am not the original owner, though. A better measure of reliability is NOT how long before they are turned in, but how long they remain on the road. Different car owners have different personalities, and are less likely to hold onto a car because of them, not the caer. Also, cars that are popular with old people (Buick, Mec Grand Marquis) often outlast the drivers.

I’m the second generation owner of a hand-me-down 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis. Hundreds of taxi companies and police departments can’t be wrong...

I have a 2003 Nissan Xterra 5 speed. I can’t kill it. It’s got 200k miles. New battery last year and a cooling system. My mechanic threw in some freebies with the cooling system so I’m happy. He wants to buy it from me. Not happening!
I’m told it is unlikely to get stolen because kids don’t know how to use a standard. Pitiful generation. I learned to drive on a 3 speed Ford truck. Took me forever to figure out an automatic.
