Thanks for this update, but are we sure this is not simply an echo chamber opinion? If the cousin hangs out and associates only with like-minded people, isn't this all he would hear? I ask because the British press is far more independent, more edgy, more acerbic, and far less prone to "bandwagon effect reporting" than US press and nothing I have seen even hints at this...
Good question, and I asked him the same thing.
The answer is "au contraire".
He and his wife also mingle with the artsy-fartsy liberal crowd he worked with on a daily basis all during his operatic career.
This crowd is composed of the same artsy-fartsy socialists and marxists as we have in this country, and these same types have always dominated the Brit entertainment industry......and they consistently vote Labour every election.
He hears and reads all arguments like we do, and he has a good ear for public opinion after being in the public eye and doing PR for so many years, just as we freepers have good ears for political public opinion here in the Colonies.
So when he tells me the general public is not enthused about Markle despite their lefty media raving about the marriage I respect his assessment.
