I think I told you he sent my mom a fundraising request.
His rhetoric is tiresome, that’s for sure.
I read that many conservatives think that Ives won the debate. Moderates probably think that Rauner won it. Do you know of anyone who changed his or her mind, because of that debate?
Wouldn’t it be better to trade Illinois to another country? Perhaps the EU would be interested. We could take Poland or one of the other countries that knows a Muslim invasion when it sees one. The downside is we’d have to build a wall around the state.
I am in ISSA’s district. IIRC his opponent was a fromer colonel and of course democrat. Looks for a dem to get the nod unless someone really strong stands up on the GOP side. SD city is liberal and the county conservative (marines and navy) but I think we’re slowly going lib as the population increases.
“Issa hasnt actually quit. Hes going to run in the adjacent district where he has a chance of winning now that Ed Royce, the current incumbent in that district has decided to call it quits.”
That’s the first I’ve heard of Issa being interested in running for Royce’s seat. I’ve read quite a bit about CA-39 and CA-49, and, by all accounts, Issa is retiring, not switching races, and former Royce aide Young Kim is the consensus GOP choice in Royce’s CA-39 (Board of Equalization member Diane Harkey has gotten the most attention among Republicans seeking the CA-49 seat).
Shillery did slightly better in ROYCE’s district as opposed to Issa’s, so him running in Royce’s would be idiotic. And there is not a peep about this so you must be mistaken, Vette.
