President Trump reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and other places you’d only want to visit in passing on a cruise line as “shithole countries,” and the whole national media acted as if they had to pause their Habitat for Humanity projects to share a cry.
The Washington Post reported Thursday that in a meeting with congressional leaders on immigration, Trump responded to questions about protecting immigrants from those countries by asking, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” He suggested people from Norway or Asia should be prioritized in getting admittance to the U.S.
Though the president denied using the reported language, choosing where your country accepts people from is no more controversial than choosing what foods you want to put in your body.
Given a choice between a steamed lobster tail and the puddles of paste that Ethiopian restaurants serve, I choose the lobster.
But CNN’s Anderson Cooper went on air to say how awful Trump is for calling Ethiopia a shithole. Cooper then continued to describe Ethiopia as, well, a shithole.
“[I]'ve never met a Haitian who isn't strong," Cooper said as he choked back tears. "You have to be to survive in a place where the government has often abandoned its people, where opportunities are few and where mother nature has punished the people far more than anyone should ever be punished."

It’s time for us to have a serious conversation about what a sh*thole means. There are still many countries on the globe who have not been up to the challenge of public sewage. These countries have bathrooms that have a hole in the floor that you squat over to do your business. This often coincides with an inability to provide potable public drinking water. This state of affairs means rampant disease, low quality of life and shorter life spans. Haiti and many African countries meet that definition.
I laugh about how much splashes back on the s...hole media. This is one of those splashbacks.

Steaming lobster is one of the worst ways to cook it. Much of the flavor drips out. Grilled is far better.
And Ethiopian food is quite tasty and spicy, although probably not to the taste of someone who likes his lobster steamed.
I actually looked up Sh*thole. The term very accurately describes the countries mentioned.

They identify with the description. A country plagued by corruption, graft, helpless citizenry, and an elite ruling class is the preferred environment for democrats. Also, their ultimate goal for us.

No doubt, but where in Haiti? There are rather nice all inclusive resorts there. I doubt Cooper is staying anywhere else.
If true (and that is HIGHLY questionable) I suspect it is because he can satisfy his sexual peccadillos there best, and I would not be surprised if he is HIV positive.
Can anyone - ANYONE - provide his direct quote on that subject? Pretty soon the Eskimos will chime in that they are offended also... We need to know HIS EXACT WORDS. Without them, these people are confirming that countries he didn’t even name are really what he described...
Once again President Trump in just a few words brings an issue to the public forum that the liberals do not want to discuss.
They thought they had a winning strategy when they jumped onto the choice of words, but like the SEXUAL ASSAULT charges came back and bit them in the butt. The President asking why we open our country to those that can not help us in any way is one that real Americans understand and exposes the fact that the left are just looking for more illiterate voters that they can manipulate.
