Pelosi: Dems Will Use MLK Day to Organize ‘Teach-Ins’ on GOP ‘Tax Scam’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said Thursday that her party will be using the weekend of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to hold events criticizing Republicans' tax reform law.

Speaking at a press conference, Pelosi said that, while a similar push against repealing Obamacare worked well last year, the tax reform bill has already become law. Still, she justified her push to discount the tax plan by noting that King supported equality and therefore would support Democrats' vision of "economic equality" through higher taxes on the wealthy.

"This year on Martin Luther King weekend, we honor his commitment to equality," Pelosi said. "Our struggle is for genuine equality, which means economic equality."

I am rather shocked at how many conservative type pundits are agreeing with Trump on his supposed “sh**hole” comment - not the language, but the substance. Indictments were unsealed yesterday & it looks like ‘Sleepy Jeff’ has at least one eye open - starting to pick off the low-hanging fruit in Uranium 1. Judicial Watch court case - judge ruled State Dept. has to produce Hilly emails by September (more previously undisclosed - won’t be yoga, weddings, etc., but classified & pay-to-play per JW). And then, as you mentioned, there’s the OIG report coming down the pike as I type (docs released, more next week) with the speed of the Trump Train ..... people are about to get run over.

BTW, people are REALLY TICKED at San Fran Nan’s comments about the $1,000 bonuses being “crumbs”. As they say, to the ‘little people’, not the elite like Pelosi, a $1,000 bonus is not crumbs.
