... So, here we are. Who do we believe: the President of the United States or a sitting Democratic senator -- and loads of media outlets (including CNN) that have confirmed that Trump used the word "shithole" to describe certain countries that were sending immigrants to the US?
We are now certain to see the disagreement play out.
The problem here for Trump is that he has a massive -- the biggest! -- credibility problem of his own making.
Trump's casual relationship with the truth extends back well before he became President. His claims about Mexico sending "rapists" and "criminals" across the border, his insistence that he saw Muslims celebrating in northern New Jersey on the night of September 11, 2001, his suggestion that Sen. Ted Cruz's father might have been involved in the assassination of President John Kennedy, his alleged initial support for the war in Iraq, his longtime belief that President Barack Obama was not born in this country -- all provably false.
In short: Nothing in Trump's political or professional life lends him the sort of credibility that should convince you he didn't say what we all know he said on Thursday in the Oval Office. In fact, everything we know from even the most surface-level study of Trump's 71 years on Earth suggests he absolutely, 100% said "s-hole countries."

Been there. Yes, they are s*holes.
The point being made is that the governments of these countries AND their people need to clean them up.
As long as everyone can run to the west, nothing will ever change in those countries where no one wants to stay.
Perfectly alright with me if he said it. Throw in the islamist countries too.

The President of the United States...
That was easy...
Believe CNN or Trump.
This is a puzzle.
Not.
We’re supposed to believe Obama when he says he’s a Christian, despite the evidence. We’re supposed to believe Dick Durbin when he has no proof? Geez.
Nothing to deny.
Haiti is a shithole. As are most countries in Africa. Ask anyone who lives there and why they want to move to the USA.
Being in favor of productive immigrants from Asia and Europe who would not immediately be on the public dole is not a bad thing. Most countries have requirements of self-sufficiency before immigration. Heck, Mexico has extensive ones.
Only the USA and Europe (and Israel, although we told everyone to pound sand) are required to commit self-destruction of their countries by the importation of less-than-desirable immigrants.
“Perfectly alright with me if he said it. Throw in the islamist countries too.”
Yup.
A member of the most corrupt enterprise in the world lecturing about truthfulness.
This is all about creating a smoke screen to hide from the base that Trump killed their amnesty plan yesterday.
Durbin started it to avoid being asked why he didn’t get amnesty through like they’ve all promised.
That’s all this is.
This guy looks like a douchebag. I can’t wait for the fake news awards. CNN is really working for theirs.
Why do you post columns from him?
“$hit hole” is a place not a race. Cnn is a $hit hole.
I hope eh said it. Reality is shocking to people like the aptly named Dick Durbin.
I did wonder if Trump seemed slow to deny it because CNN and other trash would just add “liar” to their false accusations.
I think they are upset the President stole their brand.
Trumpspeak: Sh*thole
On the other hand nobody in the MSM can deny that those places are sh****les. It may be rude to call a drunk a drunk, but it’s not inaccurate. The President is doing the world a favor by speaking the harsh truth.
Chrissie, even those in airports watching tv hate you. Shut up.
To give Freepers a chance to mock him without clicking the CNN fake news site.
