So now we can just release stuff. And then it doesn't get called a leak.

Why didn't Fusion just release it themselves? Because of a non disclosure agreement I'm sure.

I'd say Feinstein was blackmailed somewhere along the way. Comey, too. Hence his leak to and by a buddy.

“I’d say Feinstein was blackmailed somewhere along the way.”

I find that explanation a lot more plausible than senility.

Rush pointed out yesterday the real reason they wanted it released is to make sure all their stories and fabulations are consistent and line up.

I cannot believe a senior senator would say she released it because the perp’s lawyer told her to. She’s as guilty as the worst of them. We are going to need a new SuperMax for all these criminals.

As well as the ever effective public shaming of the dreaded sanction! Oh, well....

So now Feinstein's latest excuse is the FusionGPS people wanted her to release the transcript of the closed door testimony? They don't have a say in the matter.

So which is it, Diane?

I forgot to tell Grassley, the committee chair, before releasing it?

I was "pressured" by person(s) unknown to release it?

I was sick with the flu and my meds made me do it?

I was disoriented and thought it was the Trump dossier I was releasing?

So many excuses. So little credibility.

The lawyers for the guy being questioned by congress told her to release his testimony that was given privately, and she did it?

How do these people get away with this stuff?

Rush pointed out yesterday the real reason they wanted it released is to make sure all their stories and fabulations are consistent and line up.

That's exactly why she did it, and this last statement of hers corroborates it. She did it at the behest of the lawyers of the subject of an investigation so that their clients and possible witnesses could coordinate their testimony. This at the very least obstruction of justice.

She must resign from the Senate as she is mentally frail.
As we know seniors are potentially more susceptible to scam artists.

Diane ADMITS she was confused & pressured by attorneys for people under investigation by the Congress. This is such a profound lack of judgement that it can not be excused! She puts herself and our nation at risk.

She is guilty of releasing classified information and obstruction of justice.

Coordination sounds correct, especially since the testimony was not under oath.

Is it still perjury if it's not under oath?

I suspect she was put up to this precisely because she is very old and from reliably blue California. She can “resign” from the senate (pretending to be doing the honorable thing) and her interim replacement will be appointed by commie moonbeam. Then the state can elect the next 45 year old radical left senator who will be good for the next 35 years.

I'll have to toss that one out to real attorneys. Normally no, I believe, but I am told that there are conditions under which even unsworn testimony is subject to that charge, and I don't know if this is one of them. FReeper lawyers?

The federal perjury statute begins, "having taken an oath ..."

Another crime is "false statement."

Casual vernacular tends to either conflate the two, or incorrectly assume that absence of swearing results in absence of criminal offense.

She should also have her clearance level busted down to the level of Joe Schmoe from Kokomo.
Not even the level that non-committee congress critters have.

She can learn about everything on TV the same way 0bungles did.
