Republican Rep. Mia Love (Utah) on Thursday called for President Trump to apologize for those he "wantonly maligned" in his reported comments about immigrants from "shithole countries."
Love, who was born to Haitian parents, said the president's comments about those from Haiti and African countries were "unkind, divisive, elitist and fly in the face of our nation's values."
"My parents came from one of those countries, took an oath of allegiance to it, and took on the responsibilities of everything that being a citizen comes with," she said in a statement.
"The President must apologize to both the American people and the nations he so wantonly maligned," Love said.

Aaaaannd, just like that, the media and the Democrats - but I repeat myself - have moved to their next anti-Trump story.
If Haiti is so great, why are people begging to leave and when is she and her parents moving back. When in fact did she last visit and was it with or without security detail?
Even Mexico put up a southern wall.

Now imagine it's a century ago, and you're Italian-American and the president writes about “the countries of the south of Europe ... disburdening themselves of the more sordid and hapless elements of their population.”
Are you just going to say nothing, and let fools say, "Yes those Italians really are sordid and hapless"?

I can't blame her for expressing her dissatisfaction with the comment.
I don't think she had much choice in the matter, if she wanted to keep her self-respect.
Another Republican lawmaker, Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma, also criticized the remarks. “If these comments are accurate, they are disappointing,” Lankford said in a statement. “I would not talk about nations like this, because I believe the people of those countries are made in the image of God and have worth and human dignity.”
Time to get used to Trump! I’m not at all offended or surprised. If it quacks like a shithole.....then it must be a shithole!

Apologize? No. What he should say is “hey, you might not like my words but ask yourself three questions: 1. Why are people leaving these countries, 2. Would anyone from these countries voluntarily move back, and if you are not from these countries, would you like to move there?”
Trump already won the argument, they are hell holes.
